The trip was amazing thanks to our driver NEMI, he was so patient, kind and attentive. We were 3 women travelling and he always made sure we were safe. He took really good care of us. He has a big heart, always smiling, always with a good attitude. Driving so many hours could be so tiring but he was always energetic and collaborative.
He knows a lot Rajastan because he is form Jaipur... so he recommended many places besides the planned itinerary activities. He always kept the car clean and his presentation was impeccable.
NEMI you rock and will be forever in our hearts!! GOD BLESS YOU!!!
Hotels (meridien and trident) were really good overall during the tour, but please but don’t stay in JAGAT NIWAS PALACE HOTEL AT UDAIPUR. The hotel has a restaurant with an amazing view (bad food BTW) and the hotel central “patio” is beautiful but the bedroom was one of the crappiest we´ve stayed in our lives. Dirty bedsheets, dirty towels, dirty bathroom, bad smell (I was awaken by this strong sewage smell at 3 am), no closet, very old, shower and hot water were not working well, the staff looked dirty too, and were not kind, and it was the only hotel where water was not complimentary, we were paying for water and the staff would never bring change with them so they kept the change… A complete catastrophe. VERY UNCOMFORTABE AND GROSE. It is a place you can visit to have a beer and see the views but that’s it. Not even worth having dinner there.
Regarding the tour guides, the one in Delhi seemed to be in a rush… very average… speaking very fast with a very Indian accent. He was always walking 20 meters ahead. Bad body language, and very serious. Seems like he was upset.
The guide in AGRA was amazing… the best of the best!! So patient, kind explicative, good English. His name is Azhar Husain he knows so much about history and he is a natural teacher, so smart and friendly. GREAT JOB!!!
The Guide in JAIPUR was the worst, he was all the time telling my mom that she should buy stuff at the stores he was going to take us… he took us to a store called GANESHAM TEXTILE & HANDICRAFT where textiles were seven times more expensive and we were ripped off… we went to the markets and we saw the same exact products, even same brands, seven times cheaper so I had to make a scandal to get my money back on the other store in which we had already lost 2 hours. This tour guide was only interested in getting his commission… we barely had time to finish doing the sightseeing because the priority was to take us to touristy stores to buy. We don’t even remember his name and we didn’t tip him.
At Fatehpur Sikri we had a tour guide called Ali. He was really good as well, and he takes amazing pictures. GREAT JOB AS WELL!!
The guide in Jodhpur was average too. He did his job but was also walking very fast, he didn’t help us to cross the streets which could be very challenging in INDIA in very busy streets and he took us to a store in which we bought products that were damaged and overpriced too. And the guy from the store was so pushy. In this type of stores they take out many many products and despite the fact that you tell them you don’t want it they keep taking out stuff. I bought to decorative hanging wall pieces and once I hand washed them very carefully when I got back home I realized they were so damaged, torn and fixed with glue!! Also a rip off.
In Udaipur we had Anandy as a tour guide… he was really good and very explicative. Very very passionate of history. GREAT JOB AS WELL!!
The trip was not perfect but no trip is perfect. We had a great time, visited amazing places and enjoy a lot, we loved INDIA, and would for sure go back again with this company, specially if NEMI is our driver we wouldn’t hesitate. I already recommended it to a couple of friends and they are satisfied as well.
