We must all come together to save our daughters.In a world where safety should be a given, we are still forced to fight for the basic right of our daughters to live without fear. The recent tragic events in Kolkata are a painful reminder of how much further we need to go to protect the women of our society. The horrific incident involving the young doctor, who had a life full of promise ahead of her, was cut short in the most brutal way imaginable. It’s a stark wake-up call for all of us.This is not just another headline. It’s a cry for change, a plea for justice, and a demand for accountability. How many more of our daughters, sisters, and mothers have to suffer before we take action? It’s time for us to stand united and demand a society where women can live, work, and thrive without the constant shadow of fear.We must all come together to ensure that such atrocities do not happen again. Change starts with us—by raising our voices, educating our sons, holding those in power accountable, and demanding stricter laws and their proper enforcement. This is a battle we must fight not just for today, but for the future we want for our daughters.We owe it to them to create a world where they are respected, valued, and safe. The time for change is now. Let’s make sure that the lives lost to such heinous crimes are not forgotten, and that their memory propels us towards a better, safer society.

It is said that the last coronation in Kangra fort took place in 1629 AD. The fort now witnessed the coronation after almost 400 years.

This was the coronation of 489th raja of Kangra Raja Shri AISHWARIYA CHAND KATOCH, the present Raja of his line, Head of the Royal House of Kangra and Jagirdar of Lambagraon at Kangra Fort.
