Drass is situated at a distance of 60km,west of kargil district on the road to srinager it is a small town ship laying in the centre of valley of the same name it is the second coldest inhabited place in the world after Siberia. By virtue of the intense cold that descends upon the valley along with repeated snow times know to plummet to less than -40oC. During the spring in summer the val

1) *Kargil- Srinagar (SSG) Road* :-
Tomorrow traffic on Zojila axis shall be suspended due to multiple avalanches triggered across Zojila.
Commuters,passengers are advised, Tomorrow not make travel plan on Zojila axis.

*Kargil Zanskar (penzila) Road*
Subject to fair weather and good road conditions *only one way traffic for all LMVs with anti skid chain shall be allowed from Zanskar towards Kargil* vehicles shall be allowed between 0700hrs to 1000hrs from TCP Abran there after No Vehicle shall be allowed after cut-off timing.

3) *Padum Darcha (Shinkula) Road*:-
Still closed due to snow accumulations.
