Located along the Orchard Road shopping belt, Pullman Singapore Orchard offers 326 rooms and suites, ranging from the Classic Rooms to the Presidential Suite.

With the flagging off, Ganga Vilas will leave for Dibrugarh with 33 tourists . The world's longest voyage by Ganga Vilas- a vessel measuring 62.5 m (length), 1 2.8 m (width) and 1.35 m (draft)- will be covering a distance of 3,200 kms by by passing through 27 river systems in India and Bangladesh and stopping at over 50 architecturally important places, including world heritage sites, to reach Dibrugarh in 50 days.

EU approves Croatia as a border check-free Schengen zone, travellers can visit Croatia on Schengen visa from January 1, 2023.

The European Union has approved Croatia as the newest member of the border check-free Schengen zone from next month - allowing travellers to visit the country on a Schengen visa.

The world’s largest free travel zone, the Schengen area comprises 26 countries - 22 EU states plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.

EU executives have asked the European Council, the European Union's 27 governments, to admit Romania, Bulgaria and Croatia to a passport-free zone.

The first snow brings the winter mood.

The Kitzbühel/Kirchberg mountain railways will soon open the first ski slopes in the best ski area in the world (Skiresort.at test: 4.9 out of 5 points).

Chalkida, the energetic capital of Evia

Ideal for a weekend getaway. Chalkida's trademarks are the Euripus Strait and the old bridge, as well as a wonderful esplanade with fish tavernas and cafes.

The city of Chalkida sits across from long and narrow Evia, the second-largest island in Greece… but you don’t have to take a boat to get there. Instead, there are two bridges. The magnificent suspension bridge is impressive but the real magic, the ‘crazy waters’ of the Gulf of Evia, is best seen from the old bridge of Chalkida just beyond it.

It may seem like a really small tide for those used to the Atlantic but this phenomenon is seen nowhere else on the planet. Every six hours the tides here change direction, for reasons that science is still unable to fully explain.

Hundreds of visitors come to Chalkida on a day trip from Athens, though not only to see the bizarre tides. More likely, they are drawn by the warm atmosphere, the cafes and bars, the walks by the shore and the delicious seafood.
