*Plastic Eating Fungi Breaks Down Plastic In 140 Days*

Plastic is incredibly difficult to recycle, and each year, millions of tons end up in landfills causing catastrophic environmental damage.

Researchers from the University of Sydney have shown that plastic eating fungi breaks down plastic in 140 days. The backyard mushroom made light work of the plastic, Polypropylene (PP), which usually takes over 100 years to biodegrade.

The two fungi in the study, Aspergillus Terreus and Engyodontium Album, are common strains prevalent in soil and plants. They are hardy mushrooms and can survive in extreme conditions.

Researchers studied the fungi in Petri dishes with pre-treated polypropylene – which had previous UV light or heat exposure.

After 30 days, the fungi processed 21 percent of the plastic – and by day 90, they reduced it by 27 percent. After 140 days, they eliminated it, making it the highest degradation rate in the world.

National Geographic Channel chose this photo as one of the best photos of 2013 and said that the photographer who took this photo broke down in tears while taking this photo and just admired the strength of this deer's personality.

(If you are inevitably going to die, why fear and die in horror? Rather die a hero).

The story goes like this:
These two leopards attacked the deer while playing with her small children.
The deer had a chance to escape, that the distance and saving her life were in her favor, only in this way she decided to surrender to the leopards.
Reason??
To give her children a chance to escape... because if she ran away first, there wouldn't be much time for her babies to escape.
The picture is the last moment of the mother with her throat in the leopard's mouth, while she looks resolutely to make sure her cub escapes peacefully before hunting.
*"A mother is the only person in the world who would give her life for you for nothing."*🥰❤️🙏😢
