SIKKIM GOVERNMENT LAW COLLEGE OFFICIALY INAUGURATES YUVA TOURISM CLUB!!!
On 30/06/2023, Sikkim Government Law College organized an orientation program for newly inaugurated club i.e Yuva Tourism Club which is established under the schemes of the Central Government for the upliftment of tourism education and awareness by performing different activities. This club is headed by Mr. Dawa Tshering Bhutia; Assistant Professor, Sikkim Government Law College.
The event was graced by the presence of esteem Principal in-charge of the institution Dr. Tshewang Dorjee Lama,Teacher Mr. Dawa Tshering Bhutia, Coordinator of the Club and students of 2nd and 4th Semester. Ms. Khushi Rai addressed the welcome speech , she also delivered a speech as to why the Tourism Club is inaugurated in the institution with special focus on the role of Tourism, itβs importance and the objectives of the club followed by the reports of election that was conducted on 29th /06/2023 for the students body of the club presented by Ms. Asmita Pradhan.

Among these 8 students Wongchuk Dorjee Lachungpa, Nittuk Dorjee Bhutia , Nima Dorjee Lepcha and Tshering Ongmu Lepcha received highest number of votes

Among these 4 contestants Khandu Hissay Bhutia and Tashi Dolma Bhutia secured the maximum number of votes.

The results of the election was ; Mr. Wongchuk Dorjee Lachungpa won the post for President, Similarly Ms. Tashi Dolma Bhutia as the Treasurer and Mr. Marcus Lepcha, Ms. Anishica Chettri and Ms. Deepanjali Sharma as executive members of the club for the year 2023.β
The events was followed by felicitations of newly elected members by Dr. Tshewang Dorjee Lama, Principal, SGLC and Teacher Co-ordinator of the club Mr. Dawa Tshering Bhutia. Further they congratulated all the members for their designation and encouraged the executives to always remain duty bound to their club and reach great heights of success. Then the event was further carried by respected Principal Sir Dr. Tshewang Dorjee Lama; who in his speech encouraged and motivated students to lead the club to the prosperous direction and extend his best wishes to all the associates of the club.
Lastly, the event concluded by vote of thanks deliverd by Mr. Mahesh Chettri from 4th Semester.
