Spring & Summer in Sikkim and Darjeeling: March to June
This is the peak season to visit Sikkim and Darjeeling. During spring & summer the temperature varies from 12 degrees to 20 degrees centigrade. Travelers plan a holiday during the summer break. It is also a great time for indulging in watersport activities like river rafting or kayaking; and sightseeing amongst other activities.
Monsoon in Sikkim and Darjeeling: July to September
During monsoons, the temperature varies between 13 degrees to 19 degrees centigrade.
Winter in Sikkim, Darjeeling and Gangtok: October to February
The average temperature is usually around 4 degrees centigrade. Though it's cold, the snow provides excellent scenic landscapes and opportunities for snow based adventure activities like skiing and snowboarding.
