The Brahmaputra River is no ordinary river.

On the basis of its length (2,900 km), it is one of Asia’s principal rivers and, perhaps, the most turbulent. It originates from the icy glaciers of the Himalayas, passes through much of Tibet, the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam and finally merges with the holy river Ganga and empties into the Bay of Bengal.

A snippet from history: Throughout India's past, many yoga practitioners had moved to the West to spread their teachings, but it wasn't until Swami Vivekananda’s speech addressing the Parliament of Religions in Chicago and his tours through Europe advocating the discipline that popularized yoga in the West even more.

Then, in 2015, the world witnessed a reawakening of yoga in after Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated 21st June as in his speech at the UN General Assembly.

"Located around 178 km from Agartala, Unakoti’s ‘Lost Hill of Faces’ is a centuries-old Shaivite pilgrimage spot, unlike anything you’ll find in India. In fact, mesmerized travel bloggers have often called this hidden gem India’s version of Macchu Picchu.

The ancient site (whose name means one less than a crore, or 99,99,999 — a crore in Bengali is called koti) has gigantic sculptures of Hindu deities that have been chiselled out of the hill and that are believed to date back to between the 8th and 9th centuries. Most of them are about 30 to 40 feet high and have an earthy rawness that is more akin to the tribal style of art than to the classical Indian style."

Every member of JTI family is doing our bit to preserve her and thus request you to respect and cherish nature and not abuse her. If you have been complaining that you don't have the time then please do make the effort and make time for her and start giving back for our own future and the future of the coming generations.
