Kaziranga National Park sees record tourist inflow in 20 years with exciting new attractions!

Kaziranga National Park (KNP) has recorded its highest tourist inflow in two decades, with 1,64,636 visitors exploring its stunning landscapes and rich biodiversity since the season opened in October 2024, an official announced on January 2, 2025.

Renowned for its one-horned rhinoceros, KNP is now a global favorite, with innovative tourism initiatives drawing travelers from all over.

The park earned Rs 4.32 crore in entry fees this season, while the Koliabhomora boat tourism initiative, a serene river adventure, contributed Rs 10.47 lakh between October and December 2024.

A hub for adventure seekers and nature lovers, KNP now offers bird watching, trekking, cycling, and mesmerizing dolphin sightings in the Brahmaputra. These activities have added a layer of excitement to its traditional jeep and elephant safaris, which take visitors deep into the park's lush terrain, home to tigers, elephants, swamp deer, and a dazzling variety of bird species.

Monthly tourist numbers soared: October welcomed 30,058 tourists (up from 17,271 in 2023), November saw 53,367 visitors (up from 35,006), and December recorded 81,211 (up from 65,139).

Beyond its wildlife, the parkā€™s scenic beauty, including sprawling grasslands, wetlands, and dense forests, makes it a photographerā€™s paradise. Special sunset boat rides on the Brahmaputra add a magical touch, making it a romantic escape for couples and a family-friendly adventure.

Our Journey to Axomonline.

A lot of how you feel depends upon the attitude. Some things are going to be as bad as you remember them, some things are going to be worse than you remember, and some things are going to be surprisingly better. The right attitude is to focus on what is good and try to ignore the bad. Some people fail miserably at this, and move back to the hustle & bustle & running the rat race after about a year. Others succeed in this, and love being home.

We wish you all a very Happy New Year 2018! I hope that, in this year to come, you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world around. Youā€™re doing things youā€™ve never done before, and more importantly, youā€™re doing something.

Most city dwellers are born into the linear rat race that comes with living in an urban space, constantly hustling and bustling through crowded railway platforms and car-jammed roads in pollution. While the grind is one way to live, we all recognize the alternative: expanses of greenery and water that beckonā€”the simple life. We all recognize it, and maybe even sporadically discuss how we will one day leave the busy streets behind, but very few actually go on to living it and doing it.

From the fast-paced life of the Capital to the Land of Dreams, Madras Filter Kaapi to the City of Joy, again to the Land of Annas and to the Financial Capital & finally from God's Own Country to the quaint, yet bustling town I left as a Youngster.
