Umngot River or Dawki stream is a little waterway that courses through Dawki in the East Jaintia Hills. Tips For Visiting Sela Pass
1. Very high temperatures in the region during most months means one needs to carry high altitude clothing, especially during winters. Protect yourself from frost bites by keeping yourself warm at all times.
2. Avoid heavy eating just before the hike towards the pass.

Weather at Visit Sela Pass
Even though Sela Pass is open throughout the year, the best months to visit are October, November, March, April and May as there are less chances of the route being snowed-in due to the snowfall. The temperatures can range from anywhere between 20 to 5 degrees Celsius, hence adequate warm clothing is necessary.

A stunning contrast of nature's colour palette, where dense emerald jungles give way to stark icy peaks and snow-blanketed passes, the quaint town of Tawang, in Arunachal Pradesh, is a pristine and unspoilt tourist destination. .

How to reach Tawang
Tawang does not have a railhead or airhead. Tezpur (325 km) in Assam is the nearest domestic airport. Guwahati (480 km) is the nearest international airport.
From Tezpur, you have to take bus or jeep or private car to go to Tawang. It takes around 12 hours from Tezpur to Tawang.
