Please make sure to disburse the remaining amount in full at least 7 days before arrival. Part payments will not be accepted on the verge of commencement of your tour.

As per the new norms, every traveller visiting North Bengal or Sikkim must be fully vaccinated & should possess the final vaccination certificate.
All Valuables and personal belongings are the responsibility of the client. In case of theft or clients' belongings being lost during transit or otherwise. We would not be held responsible.
The vehicle cannot be used as a local taxi for in-town movement. Town area access is generally walked.
The Tour Authority will not undertake any liability for any Loss [Financial or Physical] accident robbery theft during the tour program.
Accommodation will be provided at the designated hotel/ homestay depending on the availability of rooms.
Homestays mainly provide basic amenities. They do not have AC, TV, Intercom, Geyser facilities.
Any unforeseen circumstances occurred due to the act of God (land-slide, flood, heavy rainfall, snowfall, etc), strike, political turbulence or such act, which is beyond our control we shall not be held responsible for the same though, every possible support, will be provided by the company and co-operation from the guests shall be highly required in such condition. If any extra charge arises in the process, it has to be borne by guests and paid directly at the spot.

2 Night 3 Day Tour

Sundarban: - Day 01
Sundarban Resort welcomes you to the Sundarban Tiger Reserve, biggest Mangrove forest and a World Heritage site declared by UNESCO in the year 1985 and was made a biosphere Reserve in 1989. The journey will start in the morning at 8:30 AM (Reporting time: 8:00 AM) from Esplanade (Near K.C.Das Confectionery). Refreshments will be served on the way with a brief stopover for tea. On arrival at Godkhali Jetty and transferred to the boat.
Proceed to our resort through rivers Gomor, Durgadhwani to enter River Pitchkhali, on the bank of which lies Sundarban Tiger Roar Resort overlooking the Sundarban Tiger Reserve. Hot Lunch will be served at our resort. After Lunch proceed to Bird's Island and Sunset Point and return to the Resort.
Evening Tea and snacks will be served followed by Adivasi Jhumur dance performed by the tribal people of Sundarbans.
Dinner will be served at 9.00 PM.

Sundarban: - Day 02
Wake up at 6:00 AM and a hot tea will be served in your room. Reporting at Jetty ghat on 7:00 AM in the morning for a thrilling cruise towards Sajnekhali Watchtower and Mangrove Interpretation Centre , then proceed to deep Jungle Safari through creeks and dense forest and numerous rivers. like Sarakkhali 1 , Sudhanyakhali , Bonbibi bharani, Sunderkhali , Pirkhali , Dobanki and
Panchmukhani where you may see deer ,water monitor lizards, monkeys, wild boars , crocodiles and the Royal Bengal Tiger. Lunch will be served on a Boat or Resort.
Evening walk through the native village of Jamespur. You will encounter many wonderful sights as you learn about the lifestyle, local crafts, cuisines, and way of life of the local villagers.
In the evening join us for Tea with snacks to watch Baul Folk songs and dinner at 9:00 PM.

Sundarban:- Day 03
Wake up call at 7:00am. Breakfast at 8:30am, After Breakfast checkout at hotel and proceed to Gosaba ,visit Hamilton Bungalow and Rabindranath Tagore Bunglow .
After Early Lunch (Packed Lunch) you will be transferred back to Kolkata.

বাঘের চোখ

ওই দুটো চোখের মোহ,সম্মোহন শক্তি সর্বজনবিদিত।
বলা হয়,বাঘের চোখে চোখ পড়লে,চোখ সরানো যায় না।
জঙ্গল করা মানুষ বলেন ওই বিশাল হাঁ, বড়ো বড়ো হলুদ দুটো চোখ নিয়ে বাঘ হাঁকারি পেড়ে ছুটে আসলে,বুজে আসে গলা,ক্ষীণ হয়ে যায় স্বর।সেই দৃশ্য ভয়ঙ্কর,বীভৎস...মোটেই বেড়াবার বোটের নিরাপদ দূরত্বে দেখা সুন্দর বাঘ নয়।মায়াবী জালে আচ্ছন্ন হয়ে পড়ে মানুষ,ওই হাঁ গিলে নেয় গলার আওয়াজ।আশেপাশে কর্মরত দাদা ভাই বাবা বন্ধু বুঝে ওঠার আগেই হয়ে যায় আক্রমণ,তড়িৎ গতিতে হলুদ কালো একটা রেখা ছুটে আসে গায়ে..

সুন্দরবনে আমার প্রথম দেখা বাঘের স্মৃতি বলতে গেলে প্রথমেই মনে পড়ে যায় দুটো চোখ, সম্মোহন করে রেখেছিলো আমাকে কয়েক সেকেন্ড।নেতির জঙ্গলে পাশ খাল ফুঁড়ে বাইন,গরান চিরে সে ছুটে যাওয়ার আগে যে আগুনে দৃষ্টি নিয়ে দেখেছিলো, আমি ভুলিনি আজও।

বড়ো গোল pupil, বড়ো anterior chamber ও lens( লেন্সের size আমাদের চোখের চার গুণ) এর কারণে বাঘের চোখে বেশি আলো প্রবেশ করতে পারে।আমাদের মতোই বাঘেদের আছে binocular vision,তাদের দূরত্ব,depth মাপতে সুবিধা হয়।ছুটে এসে হাতা মারা বা লাফাবার সময় accuracy নির্ধারণে যা এক গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করে।শিকারের দিকে আক্রমণ হয়ে ওঠে নির্ভুল,ধারালো।দিনের বেলা আমাদের সাথে পার্থক্য না থাকলেও,অল্প আলোয় শিকারের ক্ষেত্রে এ এক বিশাল সুবিধা।বাকি বড়ো বেড়ালদের মতো এরাও তাই crepuscular,অর্থাৎ ভোরে ও শেষ বিকেল এদের শিকার ধরার পছন্দের সময়। চোখের retina র মধ্যে tapetum lucidum এর সাহায্যে স্বল্প আলোয় বাঘ মানুষের থেকে ছ গুণ বেশি দেখতে পায়।
চোখ প্রসঙ্গে আরেকটা কথা উঠে আসে,ওদের কানের পেছনে দুই সাদা গোলাকৃতি ছোপ দেখা যায়।এদের এই eye spots গুলোর কাজ কি? এ বিষয়ে মত বিভক্ত।একটা মত বলে এই দাগগুলো false eyes এর কাজ করে।যখন বাঘ জল খায় মাথা নামিয়ে,এই দাগদুটোর কারণে বাঘকে আরো বড়ো দেখায় ও তার মাথা,কানের মার্কিংগুলো সম্ভাব্য শত্রুকে এই বার্তাও দেয় যে সে সতর্ক,নজরদারি জারি।আবার অন্য মত
বলে যখন বাঘ threatened বা বিরক্ত,ভীত,এই eyespots গুলোর মাধ্যমে বাঘ তার aggression বা হিংস্রতা বুঝিয়ে দেয়।কান দুটো পাকিয়ে সে যখন সামনে নিয়ে আসে,ওই সাদা দাগগুলো আরো বড়ো আকারে ফুটে ওঠে,অন্য বাঘ বা মানুষ বা প্রাণীকে বার্তা দিয়ে দেয় এই false eyes।
ওদের চোখ মাথার সামনে,ধারে নয়।চোখের মধ্যে rods বেশি(যা শিকারের shape নির্ধারণে সুবিধা করে)cones এর থেকে( যা রং চিনতে সহায়তা করে)।সেই কারণে রাতের অন্ধকারে তার চোখ ও মস্তিষ্কের সমন্বয়ে আক্রমণ হয়ে ওঠে ধারালো,নির্মম।
রেটিনার পেছনে আয়নার মতো structure ওই tapetum lucidum আলো রিফ্লেক্ট করে আনে চোখে,image সাইজ হয়ে ওঠে আরো উজ্জ্বল।রাতের জঙ্গলে বাঘের আলো জ্বলা চোখের পেছনেও এই স্ট্রাকচার ই দায়ী।
চোখের মধ্য ভাগে থাকা সারিসারি horizontal nerve cells বাড়িয়ে তোলে ওদের peripheral vision,দূরে ছুটে চলা শিকার ধরার ক্ষেত্রে যা ভীষণ জরুরি।বড়ো lens ও pupil বেশি আলো ঢুকতে সাহায্য করে,স্বল্প আলোয় শিকার ধরার সুবিধা করে দেয়।কিছু রং চিনতে পারলেও আমাদের চোখের তুলনায় saturation ও strength কিছুটা কম।দুই চোখের মধ্যে থাকা nicitating membrane ওদের চোখ রাখে আর্দ্র, ও ধুলো ময়লা সরিয়ে রাখে।
জন্মানোর সময় যে চোখ বন্ধ থাকে, তাই খোলে দিন দশেক পরে।নীল রঙের চোখও রং বদলায়,বড়ো হওয়ার সাথে সাথে হয়ে ওঠে হলুদ বা amber।

বাদার প্রবাদ,কাজ করতে করতে সামনে বাঘ পড়ে গেলে চোখ সরালে বিপদ।চোখ না সরিয়ে তার দিকে পেছন না ফিরে ধীরে ধীরে সরে আসাই দস্তুর।কিন্তু ওই চোখের জাদু ভয়ঙ্কর,কেঁপে ওঠে হাঁটু,পা বসে যায় কাদায়।খুলে যায় গামছা,প্যান্ট,পালাতে গিয়ে উপড়ে যায় পায়ের নখ,টের পাওয়া যায় না কিছুই।
আমার নিজের অভিজ্ঞতা বাঘের দিকে চোখ রাখতে গিয়ে হাত থেকে পড়েছে সঙ্গীদের চায়ের কাপ,জলের বোতল।ওই তাকানো ও ডাকার যুগলবন্দীতে কেঁপে উঠেছে কারুর কারুর হাত,শরীর।
সবাই ফিরে আসেন না,কিন্তু যাঁরা আসেন,সেই দৃশ্য ভুলতে ভুলতে কেটে যায় একটা জীবন।
খাল খাঁড়ির বুকে আজ ঘুরতে ঘুরতে কেটে গেলো বেশ কিছু বছর,বাঘও দেখা হলো বিস্তর।কখনো দূর থেকে,কখনো কাছ থেকে।কিন্তু যতবার সে তাকায়, চোখে চোখ রাখি আর দেখি মুহূর্তগুলো থমকে যায় কোনো অদৃশ্য জাদুবলে।

বাঘ চলে যায়,আমরা চলে যাই।চোখ দুটো জেগে থাকে মনে,জ্বলজ্বল করে শৌর্যে,সম্মোহনে।
