Holi is a deeply respected Hindu festival known as the Festival of Colors, Love, and Spring. It honors the timeless and divine love between the deities Radha and Krishna. More than a celebration of love, it symbolizes the eternal victory of good over evil, reflecting the triumph of Vishnu in his Narasimha avatar over the tyrant Hiranyakashipu.
Born in the heart of the Indian subcontinent, Holi’s significance has crossed borders, spreading its vibrant spirit to various parts of Asia and the Western world, thanks to the cultural dissemination by the Indian diaspora.
Holi also celebrates the arrival of Spring in India, the end of winter, and the blossoming of love. It is also an invocation for a good spring harvest season. It lasts for a night and a day, starting on the evening of the Purnima (full moon day) falling on the Hindu calendar month of Phalguna, which falls around the middle of March in the Gregorian calendar.
As we join in this celebration, we would like to inform you that our offices will be closed on Monday, March 25, 2024.
Our response times may be slower during this period. For any urgent matters, please reach out to your relationship team member or contact us at +91 9911266277.
We will resume our regular operations on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.
On this occasion, Team Creative wishes you a Happy Holi, filled with the colors of joy, love, and success.

Yesterday I had the privilege of addressing the industry at the first Girish Kwatra Memorial Lecture organised by the Indian Convention Promotion Bureau. Girish (GGirish Kwatra) was a friend, and an industry colleague. We lost him late last year in a car accident. A huge shock to all of us.
When AAmaresh Tiwarireached out to me to address the first memorial lecture in honour of our dear friend, I was truly touched and honoured. Girish was someone I had the utmost respect for. He exemplified the values so much needed in our high stress industry.
Girish was kind, was generous in his time and advice. He wore his integrity on his sleeve. He had my respect. I would have loved to have him in my team, but as he did work with a very dear friend, so that was never an option. Girish is missed in our fraternity.
I was honoured to deliver the lecture dedicated to our friend about issues that mattered to him. Other colleagues who spoke included Noor Ahmad Hamid AAashish Gupta and some lovely remarks by SSubhash Goyaland Sudeep Samarendra Sarcar

My last piece of the year. A wrap-up for ETTravelworld
Tourism is an industry that is in the middle of a whirlpool of emotions. Nothing is ever static. Every day unfolds a new story with new challenges and also new opportunities. But I can be sure of one thing. We who depend on tourism for our livelihood are an obstinate, resilient, and thick-skinned lot. We thrive on adversities and have always come out of the deepest pits with a grin on our faces. No matter what nature throws at us or whatever the government does or does not do, we have stood fast in front of every challenge, and I know in 2024, we will not only continue to do so but will be done with optimism and vigour.
So here is raising a toast to all of us for a wonderful, exciting, happy and fun-filled year ahead. Let's work together to make it happen.

Gandhi: our favourite movies with flavours of India
When we started to write this chapter, it turned out to be a lot harder than we expected. Our father wasn’t driven by the desire to run a business, but rather a passion to show the world the best India had to offer. Ours is a story of a vision, of a passion that went against all conventional norms. Ours is a very personal story.
In the early 1960’s, our father, Ram Kohli, was hired straight out of college by the then largest travel company in India. Impressed by his dedication, his company sent him to Germany to open the first ever office of an Indian travel company in Europe. A young bachelor, he adapted well to a new world. Ram married our mother Deepak in 1968 and soon Rajeev came along. But his company had greater plans and it was off to New York to repeat what he had done in Europe. Not only was Ram tremendously successful in building India as a major brand across the Americas, but also added one more member to the Kohli family in, Rohit.
In 1976, he felt the tug of home. He impulsively quit his job and moved the family back to India that year. To a country that was deeply mired in socialist ideology and a backward economy. We never really got around to asking him why he made the move back home when others from the developing world were trying to immigrate to the West. He was just driven in ways few others were. It takes a different kind of man to uproot his family from a comfortable life to start from the scratch in a new world.
In 1977, out of a garage at home, Creative Travel was founded. With nothing in hand, Ram spent months of the year traveling the world to create a following of partners & friends, many who still work with us today. We still remember the times when we would not hear from him for weeks and his coming home meant the arrival of great presents and many hugs. The travel industry was very different before emails or cell phones. One thing that our parents held dear was the value of education and we were both given the best opportunities they could afford. In 1994 we joined the company after gaining world experiences and have never looked back since then.
