Hemis National Park is considered to be one of the most popular spots in Ladakh. A lot of trekking trails start from this national park, Snow Leopard trek being one of them. Covering the entire Rumbak Valley, the trek takes you to an elevation as high as 4100 metres above sea level. Once you enter into the territory of vast rugged mountains, you get a chance to see some of the rarest and most preserved species of the himalayas namely Tibetan wolves, blue sheep, horned sheep and Eurasian Brown Bear, Snow Leopard etc. Among them, Snow leopards are considered to be very elusive felines and there is a higher chance of spotting them during winter when they descend to the valleys in search of food. The best time to do the trek is in the month of February-March.

Have you ever wondered what a summit climb feels like? If not, it's time you attempt the famous . Gorgeous tall mountains, adrenaline rush and a zeal to push yourself to reach the top are few of the reasons to attempt Kedarkantha Trek this winter. The campsites and the trail is equally rewarding for both seasoned & first time trekkers. The unbelievable view of the mountain peaks running parallel to the Kedarkantha summit is a sight to behold.

The starting point of the trek is Sankri, a small village in the upper Garhwal region which is around 200 kms from Dehradun. You can also start your trek from Kotgaon village. The 4-5 day trek will take you through beautiful meadows, alpine forests, gorgeous lakes & snow laden mountains. The trek has multiple entry & exit points thus it depend entirely on the trekkers as to which route they take. The temperature in winters fall down to sub zero degrees and can be extremely cold and windy. Snowfall is very common and thus every climber is advised to carry proper gears for the trek.

December to February is the best time to attempt Kedarkantha trek if you are an adventure enthusiast and are willing to experience the cold and adverse weather conditions with a smiling face.

One of the most famous winter trek in India is Chadar Trek. This trek tops the list of places to cover of every mountain enthusiast. Planning a trip to Portugal? You just cannot miss visiting the beautiful small village of Benagil in on the Atlantic coast in the municipality of Lagoa, Algarve. Why? Well, first the village is picturesque and less crowded than the other Portugese towns and second, because of a mesmerising small beach "Praia de Benagil". The beach is famous for its sensational cave called Algar de Benagil. The cave has a round hole in the ceiling that gives the glimpse of beautiful blue sky outside. If you reach early in the morning, you can see sunrise from inside the cave through the hole on the cliff giving you the best photographic moments to capture.

Algar de Benagil is located just around the corner of the left side of the beach. To enter Algar de Benagil, you have to go through one of two arches. You can enter the cave either by taking a boat, by kayaking or by swimming. It hardly takes 10 mins to swim to the cave.

Praia de Benagil beach is well connected by public transport. You can easily get a bus from Lagao to Praia de Carvalho. From there you can either take a taxi or hike for 25 odd minutes to reach Paria de Benagil.
