A Glimpse of Mishmi weaves

The tribes of Arunachal Pradesh weave distinct patterns, motifs and designs in their textiles that distinguish them. The Adi, Mishmi and Apatani tribes are fond of geometric patterns and motifs in Zig-Zag lines and angular designs. Most tribes use floral and Zoomorphic patterns in geometric form and simple straight lines, stripes and Aa bands. The patterns and motifs stand apart in contrasts and combinations of colours, and the individualistic Mishmis go in more elaborate weaving incorporating straight lines and bands frequently.

All you need is Wanderlust, city dust and Skylines..

The Vibe of Guwahati city in Assam is captivating, fast-paced and languid. This bustling metro sits between blue hills of the eastern flanks of the Himalayan range. Guwahati is fast becoming a gateway both for inbound tourists to the seven sister states in the northeastern region and also for South-East Asian countries. Guwahati is a city that has learned to move with the times, still keeping its touch with its ancient roots, while quiet flows the Brahmaputra, a silent witness to the land and its people.
