Hyderabad, one of the country's bustling metropolitan cities, will no longer be the joint capital of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh starting Sunday, as stipulated by the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act of 2014.

After the expiry of the period referred to in sub-section (1), Hyderabad shall be the capital of the State of Telangana and there shall be a new capital for the State of Andhra Pradesh.

A firman issued by Nizam Sikandar Jah established the city of Secunderabad after his name in 1806. To honour the progress achieved by the British officers stationed at Secunderabad Cantonment in Hyderabad, the erstwhile British government established 10 acres (4.0 ha) of land for this purpose in 1860. A 120-ft high clock tower was constructed in a park of 2.5 acres (1.0 ha) in 1896. The building was constructed in 1891. It is one of the most imposing structures in the city and was granted heritage status in 1998 by INTACH, Hyderabad. The library is located in the Afzal Gunj neighborhood of the city on the bank of the River Musi. The library houses half a million books and magazines including some rare Palm-leaf manuscripts. Errum Manzil is an iconic structure of Hyderabad! The 154-year-old Errum Manzil is an expansive palace standing in Hyderabad. It was built around the year 1870 by Nawab Safdar Jung Musheer-ud-daula Fakhrul Mulk, a nobleman of Hyderabad state. It is located on top of a hillock of the Khairatabad - Panjagutta road. Built in the Indo-European Baroque style of architecture, during its heyday the palace had over 150 rooms furnished with Louis XVI furniture, a nine-hole golf course, polo ground, a stable for horses, and a dairy farm. The palace was full of stucco and ornamental works.
