We take you on a safari through the picturesque countryside of Rajasthan on purebred “Marwari” Indian horses from The Mandawa Stud Farm. The experience transports you back in time as we cross the sparse desert terrain, through colorful villages of rural India where we interact with the local villagers and tribal nomads. We offer “Old World” Indian hospitality in our luxury tents and camps, where y

ou are served gourmet sit-down meals by our liveried staff in the middle of the wilderness. We also include a stay at “Castle Mandawa”, which was built in 1755 AD in a township that was a trading outpost for the ancient caravan routes from China to the Middle East. A typical day in your safari could be a morning horse-back ride to a national wild life sanctuary, then traveling in a jeep safari to see the animals. Lunch would be in waiting at your next camp site, a banquet meal under the shade of “khejri” trees. At nightfall, we would organize a special performance of traditional folk dancers, musicians or a dancing “Marwari” horse to entertain you while you dine. A camel could be your next mode of transport for the next leg of your safari through the sand dunes in the morning. We customize each safari blending tradition, equestrian, culture and adventure to create a memorable luxurious experience! Our safari is based in Mandawa, a remote feudal principality in the centre of the Shekhawati region. It was a trading outpost for the ancient caravan routes that stopped here from china and the Middle East. The Rajput ruler of Mandawa Thakur Nawal singh, built a fort in 1755 to protect this outpost. The township that grew around the fort soon attracted a large community of traders, who settled here.
