Panchvaktar Temple, Jammu
The temple was constructed by Raja Guje Singh of Jammu (1687-1703). It is said that Adi Shankaracharya visited the temple in ninth century AD. One of the most revered Shiva Shrines in the city, the Lord is worshipped here in the Swachananda form having five faces representing the totality of Shiva in His most abstract form. Hence it is known as Panchvaktar.
The temple is also popularly known as ‘ Rupay Wala Mandir’ as coins have been embedded in the floor slabs. The Straight Line Madhya Pradesh Tourism BJP Jammu & Kashmir

Ancient Sharda Temple is in PoJK: Forgotten part of Kashmir’s history
Recently Union Home Minister Amit Shah hailed construction of Sharda Temple at Teetwal, Kupwara, a replica of original temple in PoJK under the illegal occupation of Pakistan.
For centuries Sharda Peeth had strong evocative and emotional associations with Kashmiri Hindus but for last seven decades since Pakistan occupied part of Jammu and Kashmir in 1947, people have forgotten the significance of great heritage.
