आज दिनांक 9 जनवरी, 2025 को सोशल मीडिया पर वाटर एटीएम के संबंध में एक भ्रामक पोस्ट साझा करते हुए वाटर एटीएम को कार्य न करते हुए दर्शाया गया है।
पोस्ट के वायरल होने पर सत्यता हेतु तत्काल टीम भेजकर वास्तविक स्थिति की पड़ताल की गई. पड़ताल में पाया गया कि वॉटर एटीएम पूर्णतया संचालित है तथा सिक्का डालने पर कार्य कर रहा है जिसका वीडियो भी इस पोस्ट के साथ साझा किया जा रहा है.समस्त स्थापित अन्य वाटर एटीएम भी पूर्णतया संचालित पाए गए ।
पेयजल संवेदनशील क्षेत्र झाँसी के वासियों को रियायती दर पर स्वच्छ पेयजल उपलब्ध कराने वाली इस परियोजना में वाटर एटीएम मशीन में ₹1 का सिक्का डालने पर 200mL पानी, ₹5 का सिक्का डालने पर 5 L पानी उपलब्ध कराया जाता है। इसके अतिरिक्त वाटर एटीम कार्ड की सहायता से ₹10 में 20 L पानी उपलब्ध कराया जाता है। उल्लेखनीय है कि बिना वांछित सिक्का डाले वाटर एटीएम से पानी
