Each time I visit Kinnaur it pains me to see the pace in which some of the region especially Kalpa is getting destroyed by haphazard construction of new hotels most of them serving low end tourism. This needs to stop, please do something about it. Responsible Tourism is the only way out. Develop Homestays and make it a High end Tourist destination in the lines of Kerala Tourism. Planning a Responsible Tourism Workshop some time in March /April in association with a renowned Hospitality Institute. Need local participations, from people who are already in leasing out their properties for Hotels or generally interested. Keep you posted. Suggest suitable dates.
