What we’re upto
Having spent our childhood in hills, we have great memories of our relationship with nature and the wilderness of the Himalayas. Everybody has the right to re-connect with nature and lose themselves in the wilderness.
What you could do here - Family time, catching up on reading, basking in the sun, exploring the forest around, having a laid back picnic in the midst of the wilderness, mixing some pahari rum by the fire or just about doing nothing, absolutely nothing (our best experience on offer). We at ‘Santila’ wish to provide a home for those who wish to cut off and live for a few days in the midst of Kasauli’s thick pine forests. ‘Santila’ is a secluded hill home for a family or a couple, where you will remain undisturbed by others and can travel around the area on foot. It is located in the midst of a pine forest, on a kaccha village road and is accessible by car with good tyres :P. You can explore a large variety of mountain birds and plants found around the area. We do hear the occasional call of jackals, leopards or barking deer.
Santila is located away from Kasauli’s main town. Kasauli has become a busy hill station due to its ease of connectivity by road, rail and air. Its a 6 hour drive from Delhi. We are away from Kasauli’s growing traffic and flow of noisy tourists. We are simply secluded, simple, with simple staff and simple surroundings. Should you wish to do nothing - then we are meant for you. If your looking for a full service, extravagant hotel room with activities, and buffet meals - then we’re not your pick. We are organic, environment friendly and really simple. You make this your own home while you are here is more like our thing. We are around to guide you, feed you and chill with you.
