Day 1: NJP to Icche Gaon

পুরুলিয়া মানেই শহুরে ব্যস্ততা ছেড়ে কয়েকটা দিন প্রাচীনে ফিরে যাওয়ার ডাক। অযোধ্যার আশেপাশে গ্রামগুলোতে গেলে মনেহয় শতাব্দী পুরোনো দিনগুলোতে যেন ফিরে এসেছি। বর্ধিষ্ণু শহর ও শহরকেন্দ্রিক জীবনযাত্রা থেকে পালিয়ে এসে মনেহয় কয়েকটা দিন কাটিয়ে যাই এই পাহাড়ি উপত্যকায়। যেখানে সূর্য অস্ত যেতেই ঝুপ করে সন্ধ্যা নেমে আসে, শিরশিরে ঠান্ডা বাতাস গা কাঁপিয়ে আরো দূরে কোথাও বয়ে চলে যায়। নাম না জানা পাখিগুলো ডানা ঝাপটায়, বাসায় ফেরার জন্য তাড়াহুড়ো করে। সন্ধ্যা নামলেই চারপাশ অন্ধকার, জঙ্গলের ভেতরে শেয়াল ডেকে ওঠে। জঙ্গলের ওপারের আদিবাসী গ্রাম থেকে ভেসে আসে ঝুমুরের সুর, সঙ্গে মন কেমন করা মাদলের বোল। রাত আরো গভীর হয়। জঙ্গলের ভেতর থেকে শোনা যায় হাতির ডাক, কখনো কখনো হায়নারা হেসে ওঠে। গা ছমছম করে ওঠে।
ভয় কাটাতে জ্বলে ওঠে বনফায়ার, তার সঙ্গে কাঠের আগুনে পোড়ানো মুরগির ঠ্যাং। শহুরে ভাষায় যাকে বার্বিকিউ বলে। কোনো কোনোদিন আসর বসে ছৌ, ঝুমুর বা আদিবাসী নাচের। ধামসা মাদলের আওয়াজ মনে ঝড় তোলে। রাত আরো গভীর হলে রাতের খাবার খেয়ে টেন্ট অথবা গাছবাড়িতে গুটিসুটি হয়ে ঢুকে পড়ে লেপমুড়ি দিয়ে শুয়ে পড়া। সকালে সূয্যি মামার আলো ছুঁয়ে ঘুম ভাঙা, বাইরে বেরোলেই পাহাড়ের ওপরে সূর্যের আলোর ঝলকানি। চারপাশ দেখলে আর মনে হবে না রাতটা এতো নিঝুম ছিলো। স্নান খাওয়া সেরে এবার ঘুরতে বেরোনোর পালা। ঘোরার জায়গাও তো আর একটা নেই। পাহাড়, নদী, লেক, জঙ্গল। কি নেই এখানে? পুরো জেলা যেন প্রকৃতির পসরা সাজিয়ে বসে আছে । শুধু লোকজনের দেখতে আসার অপেক্ষা। লোকজন ধীরে ধীরে আসতেও শুরু করেছে। আপনারাও আসুন। শীতের পুরুলিয়া মানেই কাজের চাপ, টেনশন ভুলে একরাশ আনন্দের ছোঁয়া। সে আনন্দ উপভোগ করতে এবারের শীতে একটা দুই অথবা তিনদিনের প্ল্যান করে নিন পুরুলিয়াকে নিয়ে। খরচ একদম আপনার সাধ্যের মধ্যেই। তাহলে আর দেরি না করে ক্যালেন্ডার দেখুন আর ফাঁকা দিন দেখে অথবা সপ্তাহান্তে ঝটপট একটা প্ল্যান করে ফেলুন।
