Ladakh Bird Photography Expedition - 2024

Date : 10-18th July ,2024
Duration : 8 Nights 9Days

Day 1: Arrive from Delhi, acclimatise; stay near Leh in Homestay.

Day 2: Today on second day we take it easy and do birding around HomeStay which is 01 km to See Ibisbill from homestay and visit Thiksey monastery if interested afternoon birding at Sindhu Ghat/Shey Marshes on Indus River (e.g. Ibisbill).Around shey, Blue Throat, chiffchaff, water pipit, common rosefinch, Black redstart, yellow wagtail, citrine wagtail, lesser-throat warbler. Blue whistling thrush, Rock thrush, buzzard, common kestrel. Red billed chaff, Overnight Leh HomeStay.

Day 03. Leh - Pangong lake - Merak village 175km, 5/6 hrs drive with Birding 7/8 hrs,via Changla-Pangong lake.
Today we have a long journey of 175 km, 06 hrs drive with Changla birding for Tibetan and Himalayan Snowcock around 08 to 10 hrs. So we leave early in the morning around 4 to 5 am. we can see Robin accenture tibetan finches and hornlark around the pass. If lucky, you can see little owls as well. We will arrive in Merak around 4 - 5 in the evening. Pangong lake to Merak is 20 km and around 01 hrs drive. Overnight Merak village Resort.

Day 04, Merak to Hanle 120 km. 4 hrs drive, we have good chances to see Tibetan partidges, Tibetan Sandgrouse on the way near Tsaga la pass areas. Chinese rubby throat fairly good chances to see as well.. we reached Hanely by noon and evening birding around Hanely. We see birds like Black necked crane, Eurasian Eagle owl, Mongolian Finches, Tibetan Lark, Tibetans sbow-Finches, Buzzard, Golden eagles, Eurasian >>> Roller, Hobby, Cuckoo. Dessert >>> Ezabalian and Pied wheatears and many waters birds as well. Mammals like Red-Fox, and Sand fox, Tibetan Wolf, wild Ass, if lucky can see Pallas's Cat as well. Overnight Hanely.

Day 05: Hanely full day Birding and for Mammals. Overnight Hanely.

Day 06: Hanely to Tsokar 170 km, and 6/7 hrs drive via Polokongka 4850 meters of altitude. we reached Tsokar by afternoon. Overnight stay Tso Kar. we do Birding in the afternoon we see birds like Black-necked Crane, Tibetan sand grouse, Humes ground tit, Tibetan Snow finches, Blandford snowfinch, Black wings snowtfinch, little owl, lots of water birds like bar headed geese, ruddy shelduck, great crested-grebe etc.. Overnight Tsokar.

Day 07: We drive to Tso moriri lake early morning and to Leh late afternoon after morning Birding. Overnight at Exotic House.

Day 08: HomeStay – via ( Warila pass 17250 feet,) Tangyar – HomeStay – 210 km full day 8/9 hrs with birding.

We will leave Tangya early in the morning around 05 in the morning and birding. We drive to Tangyar via Khardungla pass and return via Warila pass and back to homestay in the evening. The total time of 10/12 hrs drive + birding. Today we try to see the White-Throated dipper in the tanyar river, Golden red start, trickell’s leaf warbler. close to the warila pass, there are sometimes chances to see Tibetan Snow-Cock, and Himalayan Snowcock, Golden Eagle, lammergier, himalayan Vulture and golden red start. Drive back to leh. Overnight Homestay Choklamsar.

Day 09: Drop at Ladakh Airport & Depart to Delhi .

RED PANDA PHOTOGRAPHY EXPEDITION
SINGALILA NATIONAL PARK, -NEPAL

Trip Start /End Point: Bagdogra Airport/New Jalpaiguri Station

Day 1: Arrival and reception from Bagdogra Airport and NJP station by Early Morning and departure for Manebhanjan (By Xylo ).Vehicle Change for off-route from Manebhanjan(by Heritage 4×4 Landrover).
Stop at Tumling a Scenic mountain village at Singhalila National Park.Tumling will be our stay for the this trip. After we reach we will have evening birding session.
Meal plan: Lunch,Dinner

Day 2-4 : Early morning birding because it's a paradise for bird species like Yuhinas,Nut Crackers, Pheasants like Satire Trogopon,
parrotbills,Sunbirds,Laughingthrushes etc.
After breakfast you will be shifted to Gairibas where we will start hiking to the dense forest in Search of the Elusive Red Panda.Everyday our Trackers will be on field for searching Red Pandas From early morning till afternoon at both India and Nepal side of the Singhalila National Park and notify our team on every details of sightings.Shifting to Tumling Homestay by evening. In the mean process we will have cars for transportation during the sightings depending on the type of trails and forest terrains.

Day 5 : An early Morning Birding session . Followed by Breakfast it will be time for us to say good Bye to the land of Elusive Red Pandas. And shifted to NJP st/Bagdogra Airport by Car.

Latpanchar - Gajoldoba Bird Photography Tour - West Bengal*

Dates : 24th February to 28th February,2024
Duration : 4 nights & 5 days

Pick up /Drop: NJP st/Bagdogra Airport

Day 1 : *24th Feb 2024*
: Early Morning Pick up from NJP and transfer to Latpanchar at Homestay.After breakfast Morning Birding Session at Latpanchar. After 12pm get back to homestay take rest Have your Lunch and get ready for 2nd half birding session.2nd half birding session in Nursery area.*Night photography session in Evening fir Owls*
Night stay at Latpanchar.

Day 2 :*25th Feb 2024*
Early Morning Birding session at Latpanchar we will search for the Famous *Rufous Necked Hornbill* along with Broadbills, Mrs.Gould's Sunbird and other colourful birds we get . 2nd Half in Nursery.Night Photography Session in Evening .
Nightstay at Latpanchar.

Day 3 : *26th Feb 2024*
Early Morning Birding Session at Upper Mahananda Birding Session where we search for the Red Headed Trogon and other Elusive colourful bird species. 2nd half at Latpanchar in some other spots

*Special Attraction* : Night Photography in Latpanchar for Owls like Brown Hawk Owl, Collared Scoops Owl,Indian Scoops Owl etc.
2night photography sessions available on day 1 and day 2.

Day 4 : *27th Feb 2024*
Wake up early by 4am get freshen up and start for Gajoldoba . Head straight to boating for morning session with packed breakfast return by 9.30 to 10 am . Then again start for afternoon boating session from 2pm after lunch .
Nightstay at Gajoldoba.

Day 5 : *28th Feb 2024*
Upper stream boating session for Common Merganser and after lunch drop at Siliguri .
