Day 01: Guwahati-Shillong
Transfer from Guwahati Hotel to Shillong en route visit Umium Lake.Shillong became the first capital of the State of Meghalaya. Located in undulating pine covered hills, the city has a milder climate than tropical India. The city center is 1496m above sea level and currently has a population of around 270,000. Home to several waterfalls, it is also known as the Scotland of the East. The British legacy is still visible in the architecture and food habits of the population. Overnight at Shillong.
Day 02: Shillong-Cherrapunji
Cherrapunji in Meghalaya is one of the wettest places on the planet and the only place in India to receive rain throughout the year. The town of Cherrapunji is nestled in the East Khasi Hills about 50 km southwest of the state’s capital, Shillong. Cherrapunji, also known as Sohra or Churra, means ‘the land of oranges’. The cliffs of Cherrapunji also offer stunning views of the plains of Bangladesh. Visit to Seven Sister Falls, Nohkhalikai Falls, Mwasmai Cave, Koh Ram Hoh, eco – park. Clients gonna stay overnight at Cherrapunji.
Day 03: CHERRAPUNJI – MAWLYNNONG-DAWKI
○In the morning after breakfast drive to Mawlynnong Village also known as the 'Cleanest Village in Asia'. You can take the entire tour of the Village. Visit the Riwai Village and walk around the Single Deccer Living Root Bridge. After that, proceed towards Dawki. Dawki is the border Town between India and Bangladesh. In Dawki you can also see the Suspension Bridge over the Umngot River. The Suspension Bridge was constructed during the British rule. You can also enjoy Country Boat ride in the Umngot River (optional, at own cost). The specialty of Umngot River is that the water is very crystal clear one you can see the underwater ground. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay on Resort at Dawki.
Day 04: DAWKI-KRUNGSHURI FALLS-LIATLUM-SHILLONG
After breakfast transfer to Shillong via Krang Shuri Falls and Liatlum Canyon sightseeing. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay in Shillong.
DAY 05: SHILLONG-KAZIRANGA
Early morning after breakfast, proceed straight to Kaziranga National Park (5 hr 30 min). En route, halt and stretch your legs. Have some light refreshments if needed. Arrive at Kaziranga. Kaziranga National Park, a World Heritage Site. is the largest undisturbed representative area of Brahmaputra valley.Its 430 square kilometers of swamps and grassland with tall thickets of savannah elephant grass and patches of evergreen forest support the largest number of one horned rhinos on the Indian subcontinent and offer you some of the best views of wildlife from the back of an elephant or from a four wheel drive vehicle. Kaziranga is not all about Rhinos. Apart from 70% of the world's endangered One-horned Rhinoceros, the Park sustains half the world's population of genetically pure Wild Water Buffaloes, over 1000 Wild elephants and perhaps the densest population of Royal Bengal Tigers. Beside this the Park has more than 483 species of birds, 18 of them are globally threatened species. Because of the varied habitat-types that the Park comprises of as also of the strict protection accorded to them birding in Kaziranga is very special. The easy accessibility to wildlife is the secret of Kaziranga's popularity among wildlife lovers and tourists. With its primeval vegetation, it presents a view of what the Brahmaputra valley must have been years ago, before it was touched by cultivation and civilization. Engaged in wildlife conservation since 1926, the park is on the National Highway 37, which passes along the park and is almost midway between the two major cities, Guwahati and Dibrugarh, amidst the undulating landscapes of the world's oldest tea gardens outside China.
DAY 06: KAZIRANGA– DIRANG
Depart from your hotel on an early morning for elephant ride in search of the rhino. Elephant safari is the most enjoyed safari to explore the wide varieties of wild life in the Kaziranga National Park. The vast area covered by the Elephant Grass can be best viewed when you are on an elephant's back. Here you get an opportunity to see herds of Indian Elephants, One-horned Rhinoceros and many other wild animals from a very close distance. Overnight Stay at Dirang.
Day 07: DIRANG – TAWANG (140 KM / 6 HRS)
After breakfast transfer to Tawang. On the way visit war cemetery. Continue with the drive till you reach Sela Pass at an altitude of 4114m / 13494 ft. It is famous for high altitude lakes & scenic beauty & is ideal for ice skating during winter. Overnight stay in Tawang.
Day 08: TAWANG
After breakfast visit Tawang Monstery, NamgyeLhaste, PT Tso, GorshamChorten, Gontse Garden, Singar Ani Gompa. Overnight stay in Tawang.
Day 09: TAWANG
Visit Bumla Pass & Madhuri Lake on this Day.
Day 10:TAWANG – DIRANG (7-8 HRS)
Dirang is an almost picture-perfect Tibetan – Monpa stone village marred only by the main road. Above the picturesque stone houses rises a steep rocky hill topped with Old Dirangs Gompa and several walls.Overnight at Dirang.
DAY 11: DIRANG – GUWAHATI
In the Early morning after breakfast directly head to Guwahati. En-route have your lunch & drop at Guwahati Airport/ Railway Station.
