The food at dirt cheap prices, a literal artsy vibe, eclectic but pleasant surroundings and a place to lay down with WiFi, it is the ultimate chill zone of Kasol. with an amalgam of nature, music and amazing food, nothing can go wrong with this one. With an outdoor chair seating and an indoor floor seating, you can pick the right place to sit. It's rustic, reminisces Jim Morrison's music and it also has an amazing view of the little downtown.

Stone Garden Cafe is a cafe specializing in Israeli food and great music. Extremely popular amidst foreigners and experimental locals, the visitors keep coming back for more. The Live music, peppy ambience and offbeat food attract a great footfall of Kasol making it a pretty popular hangout spot. We can say it's one of the most popular chill spots of the mountainscapes. Kheerganga Waterfall:

Flea Market:

Market Browsing is one of the prime things to do in Kasol. Although the market street is a little small, but you will find shops lined with Jimmy Hendrix goodies, night vision glasses, neon trinkets and accessories, woollen clothes, caps and shoes, all of which you'd want to take back home. Besides, the market is based in the backdrop of the hills at one end of the road which makes for a perfect picturesque walk as well.

The Evergreen Cafe is one of the most popular cafes of Kasol which serves mouth watering Israeli, Chinese, Mexican, Indian and multi cuisine food. Pin Parvati Pass serves as a perfect destination for the trekkers seeking challenging adventure. It is one of an amazing Trans Himalayan trek that will not only leave spellbound by its beauty but also gushing with adrenaline with the challenges it throws at you.

With a fascinating trail of approximately 110 km, the thrill it presents is almost unending. The Pin Parvati Pass Trekking trail is not really well defined but get worse during the monsoon season. Malana:

Chalal:

While Kasol gets the spotlight amongst the villages of the Parvati Valley, one can enjoy the true serenity of the magical Himachal Pradesh by trekking a little further from this major town to the quaint little village of Chalal. Situated at an altitude of over 5300 feet and a 30-minute trek away from the tourist hub of Kasol, Chalal has managed to retain its old world mountain village rustic charm. Set in the beautiful Parvati Valley of the Himalayas, with a grand view of snow-capped mountains and majestic pine trees, this quaint town has been nicknamed as the "Isreal of Himachal Pradesh", and rightfully so!

Kheerganga:

Kheer Ganga (3050 meters) lies at the extreme end of Parvati valley and the last inhibited village while trekking to pin valley via Pin-Parvati pass. Kheerganga's panoramic skies and vast greenery are a much-needed delight to the trekker's eyes and especially the tired legs. It is a holy place with a hot water spring, a small temple of Lord Shiva and a bathing tank. It makes a rare combination for any trekker to bath in hot spring water when everything is covered by snow.

Parvati River:

The soothing Parvati River flows through the Parvati Valley in Himachal Pradesh and is an indispensable part of this gorgeous region. The thundering river originates from the Man Talai Glacier, flowing north through Parvati Valley and eventually flowing into the Beas River near Kulu. Though not really a place to visit, Parvati River is definitely a top attraction in Kasol. The sight of the frothy river meandering through the imposing snow-dusted mountains renders an unexplainable peace to the soul. Since the flow is too dangerous to allow any adventure activities, you can simply sit on the rocks by the Parvati River and be mesmerised by the rumbling sounds, leaving behind the din of daily, if not for ever, at least for some time.

Kasol:

Kasol is a quaint little village in Himachal situated along the banks of the river Parvati. Commonly known as the 'Amsterdam of India', Kasol is a tourist attraction that is rapidly gaining fame as a popular hub for trekkers, backpackers, and nature lovers. Kasol is situated 23 kms from Bhuntar and next to the religious town of Manikaran and is one of the best places in the country just to sit back and chill in the panorama of snow-clad mountains, pine trees and gurgling river.

Kasol is famous for its trekking trails, which include treks to Kheerganga, Yanker Pass, Sar Pass, and Pin Parbati Pass. To get a real feel of the culture in this region, go on a visit to the village of Malana. Located a few kilometres away from Kasol, Malana is a tiny hamlet inhabited by people living in self-imposed isolation. The people of Malana claim themselves to be A***n descendants, as a result of which they avoid interaction with outsiders. The village has plenty of scenic sights, though, and is often called ‘Little Greece’.

Kasol is inhabited by a huge number of people from Israel, which is discernible from the plenteously available Israeli food, and the street signposts inscribed in Hebrew. Kasol has quite a few streetside cafes which serve delicious food, and the experience of sitting and enjoying a meal amidst the dark green forests and the awe-inspiring mountains make the meal even more enjoyable.

Kasol has a flea market that sells a variety of items, so you can pick up trinkets, souvenirs, pendants, and even semi-precious stones to take back home for family and friends.

Himalaya Nyingmapa Buddhist Temple:

Himalayan Nyingmapa Gompa is a Buddhist monastery located in Manali and one of the most famous monasteries situated in north India. Its religious significance is highly important for devotees, but tourists are also drawn for its architectural beauty and tranquillity in the environment. The most prominent feature of Himalaya Nyingmapa Buddhist Temple is the enormous statue or idol of Sakyamuni in a sitting or meditative posture. Right from the entrance, the divine and tranquil vibe of the monastery can be felt. The icon, statues and the colourful paintings on the walls add to the beauty of the monastery. A few minutes of meditation is highly advisable to get a glimpse into the peaceful lives of the Buddhist monks.

Located very close to the Mall road in Manali, the contrast in the hustle and bustle of the Mall road and the serenity of Himalaya Nyingmapa Buddhist Temple is often spoken about. Arjun Gufa:

Arjun Gufa is considered to be a legendary natural formation in Manali. The cave is a favourite picnic spot and is also famous for the adventure of exploring the creation from inside. It is located on the left side of River Beas and is very close to beautiful Prini Village. The climb up to the cave is exciting in itself with the surrounding natural landscape so beautiful it cannot be explained in words. The Arjun cave is a narrow path into a hill. With no light entering after a point, one has to explore and find their way into the cave through the darkness using flashlights. The uneven passage inside makes the exploration more exciting. At a little distance inside, one is required to descend to reach a base area. It takes about 45 minutes to explore the whole cave.

Arjun Gufa is mostly associated with the legendary figure, Arjun, one of the Pandava Brothers. It is believed that Arjun meditated in the cave by the banks of River Beas for years. Lord Shiva, pleased with his devotion and dedication, blessed him with the Pashupata Astra. The trek up the cave draws many enthusiasts. The walkway goes through lush green meadows, tall pine trees and cement steps that make exploring the location an enrapturing experience. Many tourists visit Arjun Gufa to check if the legend is true and some visit just for the fun of it.

Jogini Waterfall:

Jogini Waterfall is located in the beautiful Valley of Manali, about 3 kilometres away from the bustling town and around 2 kilometres away from the famous Vashisht Temple. What makes it a popular tourist spot is the trek from Vashisht Temple, through pine trees and orchards, to the mesmerising Jogini Waterfalls cascading from a height of 160 feet. The trekkers are enchanted as they cross several smaller streams with a dazzling view of River Beas and the snow-dusted peaks of Rohtang. A complete treat for nature lovers and adventure seekers, the Jogini Waterfall must be visited when exploring the breathtaking valley of Manali.

It takes about 3 hours to climb to the Jogini Waterfall, so make sure to carry a camera to capture the mind stirring beauty of the location. If you want to take a pit stop, there are restaurants on the route serving local snacks with a piping hot cup of Chai. The captivating waterfall is considered as one of the most romantic attractions in Manali, thronged by couples. Gayatri temple:

Situated 7 km away from Manali, the Gayatri temple houses an idol of Goddess Gayatri, made of marble. This temple has some splendid architecture styles, is constructed with a stunning artistic finesse and with some of the most intricate woodwork.

There are a few more temples around the area, such as a Shikara style Shiva temple, that one can visit.

Jana Waterfall:

Jana Waterfall is a 30 feet high watefall located near Manali in a quaint village called Jana. One has to trek to the waterfall through dense deodar and pine trees amidst snow-capped mountains. The climb is easier compared to many others in the region and can be completed by beginner level hikers too. There's a wooden bridge laid perpendicular to the direction of Jana Falls which trekkers use to walk across. There is seating arrangement near the waterfall.

Deo Tibba:

Cradled in the lap of Himalayan Mountains in Himachal Pradesh, Deo Tibba trek is steeped with the richness of the nature and stunning landscapes. It is a spectacular trail passing through series of grazing pastures of Gaddi shepherds.

Bara Bhangal:

Bara Bangal Trek, also known as the Shepherds trail trek, takes you from the lush green Kullu valley to the stark landscapes of Bara Bhangal range.

A trekker will cross the Kalihani Pass and move northwest before reaching Bara Bhangal. From here there is a turn southwards to Thamsar Pass and reach Billing in Kangra valley to finish the trek. In the end, one may paraglide to Bir if the trek didn’t offer them a high.

Jagatsukh: Jagatsukh is a picturesque village, and the capital of former state of Kullu, located about 7 kilometres away from the town of Manali. Gauri Shankar Temple: is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is located in the village of Naggar in Manali. It is a small structure carved out of stones but has immense historical importance in the region. Built in the Shikhara style of architecture, the ancient temple is preserved as a heritage site in Manali. The divine vibe of Goddess Gauri and Lord Shiva can still be felt in the temple beckoning devotees of Lord Shiva. The meticulously carved structure also attracts researchers, architecture freaks and history buffs.

The Naggar Castle is located at a short distance of 50 metres which tourists can visit after exploring the Gauri Shankar Temple. This is the last historical monument of the Gurjara-Pratihara tradition and its beauty is unmatchable with a beautifully decorated massive shikhara. Inside the sanctum sanctorum are the idols of Gauri and Shankar and other carvings on the internal walls. The tranquil environment of the quaint Gauri Shankar Temple will put one at ease the moment they walk in.
