It all started in the year 1951, when Late Mr. Babulal Newar acquired the Halmira Tea Estate

from Beggos Robert & Co., London. Later, the company spread its wings and procured Sockieting and Dukenhengra Tea Estates from Andrew Yule & Co Ltd. In the year 1990, the corporate’s dynamism and success prompted it to add Socklatinga Tea Estate to its list of acquisitions.
