Srikhola or Sirikhola(?)
Srikhola is situated on the foothills of Singalila National Park beside Srikhola River. Srikhola is a sleepy village on the trek route from Manebhanjan to Sandakphu via Gurdum and Manebhanjan to Phalut via Gorkey and Rammam, you can also come here by road from Darjeeling or NJP/SilSrikhola is situated on the foothills of Singalila National Park beside Srikhola River. Hardship at Young Age
This Photo was taken near Samanden. This visual is not rare, but constant throughout North Bengal and Sikkim. Surely the people there lives a hard life. They walks 4-5 km for Groceries, Hospitals for 100's of km. Villagers grow theis veggies on their backyard, collect some more wild spinach from nearby forest. This is their regular diet.
Children also contributes as much they can. Childrens learn ways to help and sustain their families in this cruel conditions.
We uqozi, encourage people to stay on homestays instead of Hotels, in this way local business can thrive. Local people can get some economic stability.
