নির্জন রাস্তা, কানে আসতে থাকে রেড বিল্ড ব্লু ম্যাগপাই -এর কণ্ঠস্বর, অনবরত ডেকে চলেছে। বেশ খানিকটা খোঁজাখুঁজির পর দেখা হল তার সাথে, উঁচু গাছের ডালে বসে আছে, পাখিটাও দেখতে পেল আমার, সঙ্গে সঙ্গে ডাক বন্ধ, তবে উড়ে পালিয়ে গেল না, খানিকক্ষণ আমার দিকে চেয়ে থেকে আবার ডাকতে থাকল। হাঁটতে হাঁটতেই দেখতে পেলাম পাহাড়ি ধাপ কাটা রাস্তা উঠে গেছে উপরের দিকে, ধাপ বেয়ে উঠে আসি, ফসলাদি পেরিয়ে দেখতে পাই পাহাড়ি বুনো অর্কিডে ভরে আছে প্রান্তর। এখানেই পেলাম ছোট্ট গ্রামের সন্ধান।

ভালো থাকাটা একটা আর্ট। ভালো থাকতে চাইলে সব বিষয় মাথায় নিতে নেই। বন্ধু কেন ওই কথাটা চেপে গেল, প্রেমিক কেন হঠাৎ বদলে গেল, আমার থেকে আমার পিসতুতো দিদির দামী ফোন কেন এত বিষয় নিয়ে নিজেকে খামোখাই যাতনা দেওয়া।
আরো একটু বেশি পড়তে হবে- নিজের জন্য পরীক্ষার জন্য। আরো দুটো বেশি ভাষা শিখতে হবে। রবীন্দ্রনাথের আরো কিছু গানের কথা যদি মুখস্ত করা যায়, কিংবা বিদেশী কিছু গান। আরো কিছুটা সময় রঙ তুলি নিয়ে বসতে হবে, একলা ঘরে নিজের মনেই আরো একটু নাচতে হবে। আশেপাশে দু একটা গাছ যদি লাগানো যেত! আরো একটু বেশি মন দিতে কাজ করতে হবে। নিজের অর্থে ঘুরতে হবে আমার দেশটা, তারপর দেখতে হবে পিরামিড থেকে গ্রিসের সমুদ্র সৈকত; নেদারল্যান্ডের টিউলিপ থেকে আফ্রিকার আদিম অরণ্য।
এই কদিনের জীবনে করতে হবে , করতে ইচ্ছে করে কতকিছু; আর আমরা সময় নষ্ট করে ফেলি কত অপাত্রে!

অভিজ্ঞতা বাড়িয়ে যেতে হবে শুধু!। নিজেকে বহুদূর নিয়ে যেতে হবে

স্যার আপনি ৫৫ ? আপনি পারবেন না এমনটাই নাকি বলেছিলেন তার অফিসের কলিগরা ,

আজ থেকে ২৭ বছর আগে সান্দাকফু আসার পরিকল্পনা করে ভেস্তে যায় বন্ধুবিয়োগ ও সাংসারিক পরিস্থিতিতে , সেই বাবার সপ্ন পূরনের তাগিদে তার ছোট মেয়ে দিয়া সেনগুপ্ত বাবাকে হাঁটা করিয়ে পৌঁছে গেলো পচিম্বঙ্গের উচ্চতম শৃঙ্গে । সেন বাবু কথায় কথায় এটাই বললেন যে" উনি প্রথম দিন ট্রেক করতে শুরু করেই মানিফেস্ট করেছিলেন যে উনি সান্দাকফু তে আছেন এবং তাকে জীবনের গুরত্ব অনুভব করাচ্ছে হিমেল বাতাস " আর সেটাই হুবহু মিলে গেলো তুষারপাত আর কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘার সান্নিধ্যে।

ঘুরে এলাম অন্নপূর্ণা ,দেখলাম হিঞ্চুলি, অন্নপূর্ণা দক্ষিণ , ও মাচুপুচারে , একটা দশ জনের টিম আলাদা আলাদা ভাবে হাওড়া স্টেশন থেকে যাত্রা শুরু করে একটা পরিবার হয়ে ফিরলো।

কে জানি বলেছিল...আমি ছোট ছোট অর্জনেই অনেক বেশি খুশি হয়ে যাই এবং সেটা বড় আকারে প্রকাশ করি। কথাটা আমি জানিনা আমাকে খোটা দিয়ে বলা হয়েছিল নাকি প্রশংসা করে, তবে আমি হেসেছিলাম সেদিন... কোন উত্তর দেইনি৷ কারন আমি নিজেকে অতি ক্ষুদ্র মনে করি, আর ক্ষুদ্র মানুষেরা অল্প অর্জনেই অনেক খুশি হয়। কারন এই ক্ষুদ্র ক্ষুদ্র অর্জনই মানুষকে বড় অর্জনের দিকে ধাবিত করে। কথায় আছে বিন্দু বিন্দু জলে সাগর হয়৷ আমি বিন্দুতে বিশ্বাসী। আমি ওই বিন্দুই হতে চাই, কারন আমি জানি ওই বিন্দু থেকেই বৃত্ত হয়। আমার অর্জন ক্ষুদ্র হতে পারে কিন্তু আমার স্বপ্ন বিশাল, পুরো এক আকাশ সমান৷

আমার জীবন থেকে চাহিদা কম। আমি রোদ ঝলমলে সকালে শান্তি খুঁজতে জানি, নিজের রান্না করা খাবারে তুষ্ট হতে জানি, অন্যের মুখে হাসি এনে আমি হাসতে জানি, সবশেষে??? আমি ভালোবাসতে জানি।

তাই যা কিছু পাই হিমালয় কে অশেষ ধন্যবাদ ।
