EQUINOX One - International Salon of Photography 2014, is an initiative by IVAF in organizing an international salon under the approved rules of FIAP, PSA and FIP. The approval numbers are FIAP/2014/180, recognized to PSA and FIP/68/2013. Acceptances obtained in this salon will be taken into account for FIAP Distinctions and PSA Star Ratings, listing in worldwide PSA Who’s Who of Photography & cre
dited to the PSA Distinctions and same applied for FIP (applicable for Indian Entrants only). The competition is open to everyone from all over the world; however, an entry may be rejected when IVAF, in its reasonable discretion, believes the entry does not conform to exhibition rules and conditions. Entrants must be the authors of the works they submit. By virtue of submitting an entry, the entrant certifies the work as his/her own. The Entrant certifies that he/she is the sole owner of all the rights and elements on the image he/she presents. The organizers assume no liability for any misuse or violation of copyright. Images may be altered, either digitally or otherwise, by the maker and artwork or computer graphics created by the entrant may be incorporated if the photographic content predominates. The entrant permits IVAF to reproduce all or part of the entered material free of charge for publication and/or display in media related to the exhibition. This may include low resolution posting on a website. Entries which do not comply in full or in part with the conditions of the exhibition will not be judged. A photo entered in one section, cannot be entered in another section. Organizers will handle each digital file and related things carefully but they are not responsible for any loss or damage. Watermark or any such any identification marks (including camera generated date/time) are not acceptable. An entrant's four images will be presented to the judges consecutively. Decision of the jury member will be final and entrants are bound to accept the same. Rules and Regulations:
1. All photographs must be the work of the participant solely.
2. Images may be altered, either digitally or otherwise, by the maker and artwork or computer graphics created by the entrant may be incorporated if the photographic content predominates.
3. There will be 4 (four) sections:
(A) Open – Monochrome (PID)
(B) Open – Color (PID)
(C) Photo Travel (PTD)
(D) Theme - Street (PID)
4. Files should not be watermarked and should be in proper specification.
5. Entries must be submitted in the following ways:
(i) Online – please visit http://ivaf.in/salon/login.php to start registration. After completion of registration, you will receive an activation link in the e-mail mentioned in the registration form. Please check your spam also. Your account will be activated when you click on the link. Log in to start uploading. (ii) No file naming is required here, our software will rename that.
6. Image File Specifications:
(A) Color Space- SRGB
(B) Format- jpeg/jpg. (C) Compression- 9-12
(D) Size: Horizontal- 1024 pix (max in width) and Vertical- 768 pix (max in height) including borders. (E) Resolution: 300 DPI. (F) Maximum file size 1MB
7. File renaming: No separate or specific renaming is necessary except e-mail entry. E-mail entry is only allowed if entrant faces any problem during uploading. Closing date for e-mail entry will be 20thApril, 2014
8. Results will be published in the club’s website www.ivaf.in and separate notification will be sent through e-mail.
9. The organizers will take reasonab care of all entries; however, in no case will they be held responsible for any loss, damage or unauthorized use.
10. Unless otherwise specified, IVAF reserves the right to reproduce any work for any purpose not being of commercial nature.
11. Entries without appropriate entry fee will not be judged.
12. Entry fees:
(A) Indian Entrants : for single entrant INR 200 for one section + INR 100 for each additional section (e.g. an Indian entrant entering photographs in all four sections will be required to pay INR 500); for group entries of more than 5 participants, a 10% discount will be allowed. (B) Overseas Entrants: in USD 20 or Euro 15 for one section, USD 5 or euro 3 for each additional section (e.g. an overseas entrant entering photographs in all four sections will be required to pay either USD 35 or Euro 24); for group entries of more than 5 participants, a 10% discount will be allowed. Entry fees must be credited in the aforesaid bank account before the 29th of June, 2013. Entrants are required to inform the details of their remittance to [email protected]
14. Catalogue: Every participant will receive a DVD catalog.
15. Submission of entries will imply acceptance of all the applicable rules and regulations by the entrant.
