6 Days Heavenly Kashmir Tour

Day 01: Arrival Srinagar-Local Sightseeing (27 Kms).
On your arrival at the Srinagar International Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative who will assist and es**rt you to your waiting vehicle. From the airport it is a 35 minutes’ drive through the heart of New Srinagar city. The drive takes you past the Abdullah Bridge which connects the banks of the Jhelum River, snaking its way towards the North-Western frontier of Kashmir. We arrive at the houseboat/hotel and check in. proceed for a local sightseeing that includes a visit to the famous Mughal gardens , Cheshma Shahi(Royal Spring), Nishat(Garden of Pleasure), Shalimar ( Abode of Love) Mughal laid Out in the 16th century & these fall along the bank of Dal-Lake in the heart of Srinagar City & Shankaracharya Temple located on a hillock, thus providing panoramic view of entire City, along with famous Dal-Lake & River Jhelum, Enroute visiting handloom centre famous for production of Pashmina/Shahtoos shawls & world over reckoned Carpets, Dinner and Overnight in Houseboat

Day 02: Srinagar-Gulmarg-Srinagar (56 Kms/ 1hr 30min one way).
After breakfast in the morning, we will begin our country side day trip towards Gulmarg. Gulmarg (2440 Meters above Sea level). It is one of the most beautiful hill stations and also called “Meadows of Flower”. The drive past colorful villages and rice fields, gives you an insight of the rich cultural past of Kashmir. We arrive at a small picturesque market town of Tangmarg and drive ahead on a scenic drive of 14 kilometers to Gulmarg. Gulmarg has one of the best ski slopes in the world and highest golf course with 18 holes. We arrive in Gulmarg early in the afternoon and begin a short tour around the meadow familiarizing ourselves with the beauty. In Gulmarg we will board the Gondola cable car system (on direct payment Basis), and ascend towards the Afarwatt Mountain range. The 08 minutes of rope-way will take you past colorful shepherd huntsmen to the lower ridge of the Afarwatt peak. From here you can click lots of photos of the nearby mountain ranges that stand tall like sentinels guarding the rich natural beauty of Kashmir valley. In the evening drive to Srinagar for Dinner and Overnight Stay.

Day 03: Srinagar-Sonmarg-Srinagar (87 Kms/2hr 30min one way)
After breakfast we will drive to the majestic mountain resort of Sonmarg. The route towards Sonmarg takes us on a picturesque country side drive where we will come across rolling hills, green forests, clear water streams and blooming rice fields. We will zoom past the town of Kangan which handles all the local needs of this region. From Kangan, we will drive towards Mammar, famous for its trout farm before we head towards Sonmarg. We will once again alight from our vehicles at the tourist spot of Gagangir. The spot is built in the middle of the river Sindh and looks like an island with snow glaciers covering one or the other spot. In Sonmarg we will take a 3 hour walk or horseback trip/local Union cab to the Thajwas glacier (on direct payment Basis). After our return we will visit the small-town market for some snacks or just pay a visit observing the local people going with their daily routine. We will drive back to Srinagar in the evening and transfer to the Houseboat/Hotel for our overnight stay.

Day 04: Srinagar-Pahalgam (97 Kms /03 hrs)
Leave after breakfast & proceed to Pahalgam, we drive to Pahalgam via Pampore where you can visit famous saffron fields, Awantipora and the village of Bijbehara which remains famous as the bread basket of Kashmir. We switch from the national highway 1A at Khanabal and drive through the second largest city of Anantnag. Pahalgam is a picturesque valley around 97 kilometers South of Kashmir. Known as Pahalgam (which means The Shepherds Village), the valley is renowned the world over for its exotic forests, pretty water streams and imposing snow peaks. We arrive at Pahalgam and check in Hotel, after sightseeing around the mountain valley for most of the day, we will return back to Hotel for our overnight stay.

Day 05: Pahalgam
In Pahalgam you can visit Aru valley, Beetab Valley and Chandanwari (on direct payment basis) as well as take a horse-riding trip to Baisaran meadows. PM: Free for personal activities. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 06: Pahalgam- Srinagar Airport Departure (97 Kms/ 03hrs Drive).
After an early morning breakfast, we will drive towards Srinagar airport for your flight home. At the airport the driver will assist you with the luggage and will later drop you at the terminal.

*Gangtok & North Sikkim Tour - BEST ROUTE*
*Duration: 05 Nights / 06 Days*

*ITINERARY*
*Day 01:* NJP Rly Station / IXB Airport – Gangtok (120 Kilometer / 5 Hours)- As you will arrive at New Jalpaiguri railway station (Siliguri) or Bagdogra Airport (Siliguri), our representative will be waiting for you to transfer you to Gangtok (5,500 ft.). On your journey to Gangtok (5,500 Feet), you will be passing through rolling tea plantations up and down the hill. Overnight dinner and stay at Gangtok hotel.

*Day 02:* Gangtok – Lachen (118 Kms / 06 hrs drive):
After you arrive in Gangtok our office executive will attend and drive to Lachen in an executive vehicle by surface. On the way do not miss Seven Sister Waterfall and Singhik View Point. Reach Lachen by afternoon and complete the check-in formalities at the hotel. Enjoy overnight stay in Lachen.

*Day 03:* Lachen – Gurudongmar Lake (40 Km each side):
Start your day with the appetite breakfast at the hotel and drive towards legendary Gurudongmar Lake considered to be most sacred lake in North Sikkim. Please note that only Indian Nationals can visit this lake, so if you are accompanied by any foreigner friend you need to intimate us in advance. The lake is situated at the highest altitude of the North Sikkim and hence its high altitude may cause the breathing problem. Be prepared and do not exert. After paying visit to lake come back to the hotel, take refreshment and leave for Lachung. Overnight stay at Lachung hotel.

*Day 04:* Lachung – Yumthang Valley Excursion (21 Kms each side) – Gangtok (118 Kms /06 hrs): After taking breakfast at the hotel proceed for an excursion to Yumthang valley – the ultimate valley of flowers in North Sikkim (Alt 11,800 ft). On the way back to hotel do not forget to visit hot spring – the crystal water in it said to have some medicinal trait. Optional tour to Yumesamdong Valley or Zero Point close to Tibet Border (Alt 15,000 ft, 23 Kms from Yumthang) for Indian tourists only can be arranged (at extra cost and prior notice). Reach to Gangtok.

*Day - 5:* Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir : Morning breakfast at hotel – Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir nearly 40 kilometers - The Lake is oval shaped lake nearly 50 feet deep - Generally covered in snow for most of the year the year – This lake is home to the Brahmini ducks & many migratory birds – Nearby is the sacred Baba Mandir known to be a very holy site for all - Nathu La Pass to Republic of China is nearly 20 kilometers and is optional tour - Back to Gangtok - Evening free to roam around M G Road (Mall) or local Shopping center - Over Night stay at Gangtok (Incase of Landslide or due to any other reasons if Tshangu Lake is closed then an alternate sightseeing will be provided).

*Day 06:* Gangtok – NJP Rly Station / IXB Airport (120 Kilometers / 5 Hours)- 1 Wagno-R ( Small Car ). Post breakfast, Check out and embark on a drive from hotel to reach New Jalpaiguri railway station (Siliguri) or Bagdogra Airport (Siliguri). Your arrival at railway station or airport will mark the end of the tour.
