It is thought that the gigantic rock structure was formerly a minute stone used by the saint to crush beutlenut which grew in abundance.

In fact, the best place I’ve ever had them from is from an area called, Ban Na San… a very small village along a river south of Surat Thani town about 30 km. Every year they have a huge week-long RAMBUTAN FESTIVAL there to celebrate since most of the residents make their living growing rambutans on their farms.Rambutan taste is something you’ll quickly become accustomed to and addicted to.

CALVARYMOUNT is an echo tourism place near by Idukki. Here you can have the eye catching view of Idukki lake, high range hills and valleys. It is also a wild life sanctuary and may get a chance to watch wild elephants. The great attraction here is the calm and quiet atmosphere which can energies the body and mind. We can spend even the whole day by simply sitting in one place here without getting bored. One special thing is that nothing is artificial here. Here we can feel the great art by nature.
This area is mainly having cardamom, coffee and tea plantations. Main income is from spice plantation only.
Other than winter, all seasons are good to be here. Accommodation can get at Kattappana, just 15 Km away. It will take 4 hrs from Eranakulam and 2.5 hrs from Thodupuzha to reach here. Both from Eranakulam and Thodupuzha you can take the bus to Kattappana and get down at Calvarymount junction. If you are coming from Kottayam, first come to Kattappana and take any direct bus going to Cheruthoni or Idukki and have just 30 min travel from Kattappana.

Kolukkumalai tea estate is 35 km from Munnar. This is on a precipitous ridge above the scorching plains of Tamilnadu. This is the highest reputed tea estate at approximately 8000 feet above the sea level. It takes 90 minutes from Munnar to reach this tea estate.

It produces excellent flavorsome teas and is publicized as the world highest tea production. Besides tea, Kolukkumalai is prominent for it panoramic views, and rugged mountains. On clear nights Kodaikanal is visible from this estate.

Megamalai :Meghamalai is located in Tamil Nadu about 85 kilometers from Thekkadi in Kerala, 43 kms off Chinnamanoor, on the Thekkadi – Madurai Interstate Highway.
Once the exclusive preserve of a group of plantations, Meghamalai today has become the cynosure of every tourist. The largest plantation, the Highwavys Group, is a tea plantation owned previously by Hindustan Lever and today run successfully by the Woodbriar group.
Flanked on one side by the Periyar Tiger Reserve and on the other by the proposed Meghamalai Wildlife Sanctuary, the Highwavys group of Estates lie ensconced in a geographic depression shaped like a bowl, bordered by rising mountain ranges on all sides with a 7 kilometer lake winding across itself.
Meghamalai is also home to rare species of birds, flora and mammal life. Wild Gaurs and Elephants are commonly sighted across the few plantations but more so within the Highwavys Group of Estates.
