Rani Sui is a small, lesser known lake, situated away from the hustle and bustle of the towns of Kullu and Manali. The trek starts from the old village Shangchar and further leads through some quality forests of Pine and Deodar to the Rani Sui Lake. The lake is placed amidst lush green meadows and from the heights one enjoys the changing colours and hues of the cultivated multicolored fields below the valley. The summit camp offers a 360 degree panorama of the majestic snow clad peaks. The upper region of this trek remains covered with snow till the end of June.

Bijli Mahadev to Naggar Trek
The real charm of the Bijli Mahadev to Naggar trek trail lies in the interiors of Kais Wildlife Sanctuary. A 15 km approach by foot from Kullu town to the top of this hill is an experience in itself. In addition, there is a 12 km long motorable road that trekkers can take.

The sylvan surroundings of the quiet valley are mesmerizing, with a wide array of deodar and pine forests. This is complimented by the beautiful apple, pomegranate and pear orchards of Jana Village. The trek becomes more interesting with overnight camping inside a forested ridge at Matikochar. As you exit the valley and reach Naggar, you’ll learn that it’s a wonderfully satisfying weekend trek.

Icy Shiva Lingam forms from October to March. This manifestation of Shiva is attributed to the penance of Anjani, Mother of Hanuman (the monkey god of Hindu mythology) who was conceived here.
The location was discovered by Guru Baba Prakash Puri Ji Maharaj after a divine vision. Today a beautiful temple adorns the site and is inhabited by holy hermits (sadhus) that welcome any visitor and are happy to serve refreshments and exchange ideas.
Anjani Mahadev is accessible on foot through a 40 minute walk from Solang Nullah. A trail marked with orange flags outline the route.
