A very popular saying specially among the people who travels for the first time in Mountains.... "The mountains are calling and i must go" by John Muir, well the fact is they are not calling anyone and infact asking you to be where you are, specially if you are not responsible.
They also say travelling’s the only thing you can buy that makes you richer. I was checking out this and unfortunately found it’s a fake news. I’ve got a bigger range of souvenirs but a smaller bank balance and a stronger understanding of India but a weaker credit score.

So I’ll leave you with a quote that I do like, by DH Lawrence, When we get out of the glass bottle of our ego and when we escape like the squirrels in the cage of our personality and get into the forest again, we shall shiver with cold and fright. But things will happen to us so that we don't know ourselves. cool, unlying life will rush in.

Just as we were about to reach Pangong lake after a 6hr long journey from Nubra Valley, it started raining heavily with clouds overcasting the lake making it look dull - nothing like the turquoise shades that we all see in pictures as the colour of the lake is actually reflection of the clouds above! I was quite dejected as it was about 3pm and we just had one night here!

Just about an hour later, the skies cleared up a bit to bring back these blue shades but it was yet extremely windy, my flowy yellow skirt that I had planned to wear here just wouldn't allow me to pose standing by this stunning backdrop but that's the thing about travel, it teaches you to modify your plans as per the situations not under your control!.

People ask me, why do I love mountains so much? There are other places in the world too..emerald sea of southeast asia..balloons of Cappadocia..or the dunes of Jaisalmer or..........(the list never ends)

But there lies the secret. Love. I love mountains so much, that every quarterly plans land me into the lap of Himalaya. A very interesting love story we share. Where there is no fear of leaving or break-up. Whenever I see those icy crests in the horizon, I feel happy..contained. They teach me, how to be humble or be happy with what I've got. They help me to understand how much tiny I am..how much insignificant my problems are.
