Planning for Bali then visit Ubud..
Ubud It is one of the most important towns in Bali and the main artistic, spiritual and cultural center in addition to all of Indonesia.
Located in the zone of Gianyar in the epicenter of the Island, it still preserves a traditional atmosphere with really charming people.
If you go to the Bali IslandUbud is a must visit for at least one day. We recommend spending at least 2 or 3 days as there are many things to see and do.
Of the things that will surprised you the most, apart from the temple of the monkeys known as Sacred Temple Monkey Forest which is typical for tourists, are not popular temples.
There are other temples, non-tourist ones that go unnoticed like El Temple of the Elephants or the one from Gunung Kawi or the one from Tirta Empul. These last three are not so well known and are the ones that are really worth it.
You have to walk around Ubud and soak up its culture and art. Another of its strengths is the Yoga and meditation, a place of pilgrimage for lovers of Yoga.
Unlike the more touristic places on the beach, this place has a more pleasant temperature. Surrounded by forests and rivers, and with luxury hotels at truly incredible prices.

Characterised by bright colours and bold outlines, Kalighat painting evolved as a unique genre of Indian painting in 19th-century Kolkata (formerly Calcutta), in West Bengal. From the depiction of gods and other mythological characters, these paintings developed over time to reflect a variety of themes.
Traditional arts & crafts covers wall paintings, conch-shell, bamboo, and ivory works. Embroidery, weaving, engraving, inlaying, film and music are also important aspects of Kolkata culture.
Led by eminent artists such as Abanindranath Tagore, Nandalal Bose, and Rabindranath Tagore, the Bengal School emerged as a powerful movement that sought to revive traditional Indian artistic practices and forge a unique national identity..

Bhai Dooj is a festival celebrated after two days of Deepawali in Vikram Samvat Kartik month. The festival commemorates the bond of love between brother and sister and is celebrated with rituals similar to that of Raksha Bandhan.

Apart from the fact that mixing dry fruits ahead of time brings richness to the cake, there is another significant factor why it has always been conducted as a huge ceremony.
The history of cake-mixing says that it marked the arrival of the harvest season. During those days a lot of fruits and nuts were picked, to go into the preparation of the traditional Christmas fruit cake. They used to save up the mix for the coming year in the belief that it would bring another abundant year.
