In an unfortunate incident, two tourists (mother and son) from Delhi have drowned in Beas river at Bahang near Manali. The bodies have been recovered. The accident happened while they were clicking photos. An employee of Hotel Allure Grand, Mr Ravi, jumped into river to save the tourists but did not succeed. We reiterate that tourists should not underestimate the force of cold waters of Beas. Also, the boulders near the river are very slippery. So, please maintain a safe distance.
Himachal govt is likely to issue order to make negative RT-PCR report mandatory for tourists to enter the state. Those who have received both

Atal Tunnel witnessed the highest ever vehicular traffic in 24 hours on Sunday/Monday with 7,276 vehicles entering the tunnel from its both portals. These vehicles were recorded from 8am on Sunday to 8am on Monday. Before this, 5,674 was the highest number of vehicles that had used Atal tunnel in March this year.
Bus to Chandratal soon: As a trial run of the HRTC's bus on Manali-Chandratal Lake route remained successful, the lake will soon connect with Manali by a seasonal bus service. The bus will ply on this route very soon as the officials have requested to repair some poor spots.
Planning to visit Chandertal Lake? Starting tomorrow, an e-permit is mandatory to be eligible to visit Chandratal Lake of Lahaul-Spiti district. The permit will also be required to use Koksar-Kaza road. This arrangement has been made to ensure safety of the visitors by keeping track of them and also to prevent Chandratal from overcrowding. Lahaul-Spiti administration may allow tourists only according to the carrying capacity of Chandratal. And camping in lake area will be prohibited.

पर्यटन कारोबारी दिवालिया होने की कगार पर: बुद्धि प्रकाश
मनाली: हिमाचल प्रदेश ट्रेवल एजेंट्स एसोसिएशन के प्रेजिडेंट बुद्धि प्रकाश ठाकुर ने कहा कि जिस तरह से पर्यटक अपनी बुकिंग केंसल कर रहे हैं, उससे लगता है कि अधिकतर पर्यटन कारोबारी इस साल दिवालिया हो जाएंगे।
उन्होंने कहा कि कोरोना के चलते पहले से ही बहुत कम पर्यटक आ रहे थे। लेकिन अब जैसे जैसे पाबंदियां बढ़ती जा रही हैं उस से बचे खुचे पर्यटक भी आने से कतराने लगे हैं। उन्होंने बताया की बुकिंग केंसिल होने का सिलसिला जारी है और अगर ऐसा ही चलता रहा तो आने वाले पर्यटन सीजन को बर्बाद होने से कोई नहीं बचा सकता।
कोरोना और पर्यटन से सम्बंधित बहुत से पहलुओं पर सोमवार को मनाली में हुई सभी पर्यटन व्यवसाइयों की मीटिंग में पर्यटन को बचाने पर चर्चा हुई। सभी ने सरकार से विनती की कि किसी भी तरह से इस पर्यटन सीजन को बचाने की कोशिश की जाए। सब ने इस विषय पर भी चर्चा की कि अधिकतर पर्यटन व्यवसाई कोरोना के चलते बैंकों के कर्जदार हो गए हैं और बहुतों को बैंकों के नोटिस भी आ रहे हैं। सबने चिंता जताई की ऐसा ही चलता रहा तो अधिकतर बैंकरप्ट हो जाएंगे और उनके व्यवसाओं पर ताले लग जाएंगे।
उन्होंने सरकार से विनती की कि अगर लॉकडाउन जैसी स्थिति बनती है और पर्यटकों को हिमाचल आने में दिक्कत पेश आती है तो सरकार सब के लोन की अदायगी को कम से कम दो वर्षों के लिए बिना ब्याज भुगतान टाल दे।

सैलानियों के स्वागत के लिए तैयार है कुल्लू-मनालीः गोविंद ठाकुर
कुल्लू 08 अप्रैल। शिक्षा व कला, भाषा एवं संस्कृति मंत्री गोविंद सिंह ठाकुर ने कहा कि पर्यटन सीजन आरंभ होने वाला है और शासन, प्रशासन जिला में सैलानियों की सुविधा में अभी से जुट गया है। उन्हांेने कहा कि कोविड-19 के प्रोटोकोल की अनुपालना करते हुए पर्यटन सीजन सुचारू रूप से चलेगा और सरकार हर प्रकार की स्थिति से निपटने के लिए तैयार है। वह आज कुल्लू में जिला प्रशासन के अधिकारियों के साथ कोविड-19 की समीक्षा बैठक की अध्यक्षता कर रहे थे।
गोविंद ठाकुर ने कहा कि कोरोना की दूसरी लहर अधिक खतरनाक है और इसका तेजी से प्रसार हो रहा है। वायरस से बचाव के लिए सभी लोगों को सरकार के दिशा-निर्देशों का इमानदारी के साथ पालन करना होगा। उन्होंने कहा कि जिला में आने वाले सैलानियों के लिए फुलप्रूफ योजना तैयार की जाएगी ताकि उन्हें किसी प्रकार की असुविधा न हो। जिला में आने वाले पर्यटकों को घबराने की जरूरत नहीं है। कोविड प्रोटोकोल के दृष्टिगत उनका पूरा ख्याल रखा जाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि जिला में बाहरी क्षेत्रों से आने वाले पर्यटकों पर किसी प्रकार की रोक नहीं है। पर्यटक जिला की वादियों को निहारने के लिए अथवा छुट्टियां मनाने के लिए बेझिझक जिला में आ सकते हैं।
पर्यटन व्यवसाय से जुड़े लोगों के साथ बैठकंे करें एसडीएम
शिक्षा मंत्री ने जिला के समस्त एसडीएम को निर्देश दिए कि जल्द पर्यटन व्यवसाय से जुड़े लोगों के साथ बैठकें करके उनके सुझाव प्राप्त करें ताकि पर्यटन सीजन किसी भी स्तर पर प्रभावित न हो। मंत्री ने कहा कि जिला के हजारों परिवारों की रोजी रोटी पर्यटन व्यवसाय पर आधारित है और वह चाहते हैं कि सीजन अच्छे से चले और स्थानीय लोगों की आर्थिकी बढ़े। उन्होंने कहा कि वह स्वयं जिला स्तर पर पर्यटन से जुड़े कारोबारियों के साथ बैठक करेंगे। उन्होंने जिला प्रशासन को कोरोना के बढ़ते मामलों के बीच पर्यटक गतिविधियों को जारी रखने के लिए व्यापक योजना जल्द तैयार करने को कहा ताकि पर्यटन के कारण कोरोना का प्रसार न हो और सैलानी भी अपने आप को सुरक्षित महसूस कर सकें।
गोविंद ठाकुर ने कहा कि पर्यटन सीजन के सुचारू संचालन में अधिक से अधिक लोगों की सहभागिता को सुनिश्चित किया जाएगा। कुल्लू-मनाली आने वाले प्रत्येक अतिथि की फिक्र करें लोग, ऐसा संदेश सैलानियों में जाना चाहिए। होटल के स्टाॅफ को कोरोना प्रोटोकोल के बारे में विशेष प्रशिक्षण देने की आवश्यकता है। यदि कोई पर्यटक कोरोना पाॅजिटिव पाया जाता है तो होटल में एक-दो कमरों की विशेष व्यवस्था करने के लिए होटल कारोबारियों को तैयार किया जा रहा है।
टैक्सी व वाहन चालक सभी करवाएं कोरोना जांच
गेविंद ठाकुर ने कहा कि बाहरी क्षेत्रों से आने वाले सैलानियों में कोरोना के प्रति किसी प्रकार के भय का वातावरण न हो, इसके लिए जरूरी है कि सभी टैक्सी व वोल्वो आप्रेटर तथा होटल का स्टाफ कोरोना की जांच करवाने के लिए आगे आएं। ऐसा करने से उनके स्वंय के कारोबार के प्रति सैलानियों का विश्वास मजबूत होगा और जिला में सैलानियों की आमद संतोषजनक रहेगी। इसके अलावा जो लोग परोक्ष व अपरोक्ष तौर पर पर्यटन कारोबार से जुड़े हैं, वे सभी स्वेच्छा से कोरोना टैस्ट करवाएं। बैरियरों पर सैलानियों के लिए दिशा-निर्देश देने की व्यवस्था बनाने को भी मंत्री ने कहा।

Two tourists from Haryana, hiking towards Kunzum pass, got lost in the snow-laden isolated area above 14,000ft yesterday night. Police received information at 9:20pm in the night and a search and rescue team comprising police, BRO and local residents was formed and dispatched immediately. After combing the area for hours, luckily both the tourists were found shivering in cold. They were rescued to safety. Both were moved to Kaza. Tourists are requested not to go to higher regions/isolated areas as it can prove fatal. The night temperature in higher regions is still minus 5 to minus 15 degrees C. If going for an adventure activity/day hike, hire a local guide.
