Call for interns
Janki’s is a community in old Manali that promotes sustainable living, natural building practices, and innovation in material research. We empower locals by showcasing traditional craftsmanship and promoting regional study programs and research trips, particularly for architects.
We are excited to announce our residency and fellowship program in Himachal Pradesh, where participants will learn hands-on about sustainable earth bag cabins and tree houses. The program also includes workshops on permaculture, material explorations, art installations, design, and natural building.
We welcome collaborations with universities and individuals who share our passion for sustainable living. We have already conducted workshops with design universities across India and offer experiential learning opportunities with local craftspeople.
Led by Ar. Mandav Bharadwaj (Founder, Madvan Design Labs), Ar. Richa (Co-founder Madvan Design Labs), and Roopesh Chinni (CEO/ CyberCubes), our workshops provide an immersive learning experience in natural building techniques, culture, and design in Himachal.
We invite student coordinators, professors, deans, and student experience cells to reach out to us at [email protected]" rel="ugc" target="_blank">[email protected] for collaborations. In exchange, interns and volunteers will receive free accommodation for one month and two meals per day of local cuisine.
Join us in our movement to encourage indigenous craftsmanship and sustainable living practices in the Western Himalayas!
