The Barri family: Amnon, Tamar, and their children Malmalu, Paamon, and Achu. Amnon
Barri, a circus man, experienced a personal tragedy in childhood when his sister was murdered near him in Ras Burka in the Sinai Desert. One day Amnon woke up knowing that his life had to change. Tamar Barri, a painter, was born to an Orthodox family and
lived in a settlement. One day she decided to leave her past behind her; she bought a van and began wandering the breadth and width of the country. On her wanderings,Tamar stopped for Amon who was hitchhiking. The two arrived in the desert and there,
in the Rainbow Festival, discovered their love for one another. They wandered to Kenya, and there, in an African tribe tent, their first daughter was born. A year later, The Barrysreturned to Tamar's old van, and kept traveling and seeking a place where their hearts would feel at home.

Our Village Story .

Dhungri Mela is a Hindu festival in himachal pradesh which is celebrated over three days during the birthday of Hadimba wife of Bhima one of the five pandavas in the epic Mahabharata . Mela started 14th may till may 16th .
During this festival idols of gods and goodness from surrounding villages are carried to Habimba’s ancient cave temple at the foot of the himalayas .

It’s supposed to be a big festival at fairground with stalls and carnival 🎡 rides . But this time of the year due to pandemic the villagers decided to cutdown all these activities . All the rituals will be conducted as per covid protocol.
During the ceremony taking photos and videos strictly prohibited 🚫.

I'm/ we are proud to say that we have started 2021 on a positive note

We got great athletes named Jyothi and who without stopping for food and rest ran a total of 36kms from C6 to the Atal tunnel.

This accomplishment is worth taking note cuz in the near future he is going to attempt to run a distance of 50 and 103kms respectively.

From our side we will support him in every way possible to accomplish much more impressive feats like the run he made. We wish him good luck

Lockdown Diaries [01/03]

Winter was almost over and the season was about to start. As usual whole Manali was abuzz, preparing to welcome people from around the globe. Just like everyone, I was excited to see new faces, learn new stories, and welcome all of them. I was waiting patiently for more humans to walk up my stairs other than Rish, Dom, Achu, Anju & Jan. But then, out of the blue, everything came to a standstill. I really didn’t know what was going on until I heard them talking about it.

It was the lockdown...

And just like that, along with the entire country, Manali too jolted to a halt like never before. Seeing the old town deserted, the hostels & shops shut, all I could feel was emptiness. It was like being teleported back to a time when people hardly knew about this little valley.
