It's been an unpredictable April!
A mix of warm and sunny days that suddenly turn misty and chilly. Even gloomy at times. Luckily the flowers are here to remind us it's Spring 😌
P.s. Our vote day is on the 26th of April. We will be closed for a week during that week, but we're open for May. So DM to book with us right away!

Chai lovers, the good news is here! First flush tea plucking has officially started! ☕
First flush is the most expensive tea pluck, because it's also supposedly the most fragrant and tastiest tea to be drunk. Tea connoisseurs will vouch for the first flush tea. Come Spring and the plucking starts so that it can quickly be processed and packed for the market.
Mirik is surrounded by plenty of tea gardens and estates. This one in Bunkulung is nearer to the riverside and valley and has different flavours and aroma.

If you didn't know already, Mirik is a flower lovers paradise 🌼🏵️🌸💮
From seasonal flowers, succulents and cactuses to orchids and cymbidiums. You name it. We grow and sell everything. So it's not a surprise that Mirik was able to host a successful flower exhibition last week.
You will notice how many little flower nurseries dot around our town, and how every house loves to adorn their homes with pots of plants and flowers.

had been our silent follower for a long time, until one day she got in touch out of nowhere to make a booking with us. With every passing year as hosts, we are more than convinced that the Universe most often than not pushes our guests to stay with us 😛 With Dipti, every minute with her was joy! You are a pocket full of positivity and happiness wherever you go! We have loved every day of hosting you and are so grateful for the beautiful memories we have made with you. You are probably one of the few guests we have gotten so close with, and we can proudly say we've made a beautiful friend 💟
It's unbelievable how much we have shared, gossiped and laughed in such a short time, and it's not even funny how much our families have in common 😆
We hope with all our heart that we get to see you again in the future. Lots of love and best wishes from each of us here at Haamro Ghar 🤗💗

Orange season when oranges are galore! 🍊🍊
This is our favourite part of Winters here in Mirik!
This year, our village orchards have seen abundant produce of the fruit, as compared to last year. So we're all excited!

Our Helipad is one of our favourite 'dusk' spots in Mirik. Sunsets are beautiful from here.
The Sleeping Buddha Kanchenjunga range is mesmerizing.
Views of Kurseong, Sonada, Tonglu, and Siliguri/Bagdogra are lovely too.
And then parts of our neighbour, Nepal can be seen too.
The panoramic views from here are a sight to behold. And! Fried momo with some hot Darjeeling tea at the spot is the cherry on top indeed 😇
A must visit at sunrise/sunset when you're here in Mirik!
