Absolutely! All the beauty of that railway journey is still there even without the steam train!

‼️A message from Mallaig‼️

Please don’t let the news of the Steam Train being suspended alter your plans for Mallaig. If you aren’t from here you may not know that buses and ScotRail service trains still run regularly from Fort William into Mallaig, this is the exact same line. I realise the history of the Steam train and also the Harry Potter fame that comes with it now BUT if Mallaig was your destination - PLEASE STILL VISIT!😁

We have so much to offer for a small village. Fantastic restaurants, cafes, pubs, shops, scenic walks, beaches, boat trips! A friendly reminder for anyone that loves the area as much as we do- share those photos online, post those memories on the travel pages- share far and wide that this beautiful little village at the end of the line needs you📍

Loch Morar this evening! Absolutely beautiful and just a couple of miles from the pod. It’s the deepest freshwater body in the British Isles with a maximum depth of 310 m.

In between the heavy showers today there is still light and a rainbow! No such thing as bad weather, just bad clothes! Think you have to come prepared at this time of year as the weather can be so changeable but it’s worth it for this!
