The Tunda Bhuj trek encompasses everything - walking through rivers, waterfalls, holding on to dear life on narrow walkways, apple orchards – you name it.  If you’re a regular hiker then this one is a dream to do. One of the most beautiful treks, so picturesque that you feel an impulse to reach for your camera or pinch yourself hard to make sure it’s real.

Shamshi Thach, dazzling yet beautiful. This immensely dramatic place is based in the Parvati Valley in Himachal Pradesh.

Laying at an altitude of 3850meters is said to be one of the base camp for Sara Umga pass & Animal pass.

To reach here, one has to start all the way from Tosh Village which is also said to be the last hamlet in Parvati Valley. It takes approx 18kms walk with a perfect rush & rugged trail filled with lush green forest of pine trees, waterfalls & apple orchards.

Not just that once your closer and the tree range is to the end, you get to experience some medicinal trees and plants on route.

🧚‍♂️ Who wouldn’t want to dive into the myriad of colors dissipated by the sparkling fireflies? Come June, head to Rajmachi Fireflies Festival where you get to celebrate the beautiful and vibrant colors of nature amidst glowing fireflies.

🧞‍♂️ In June, millions of fireflies come out in the open and create a fascinating spectacle for the onlookers. Fireflies are actually not flies but beetles with glowing abdomens. Over 2000 species of fireflies can be spotted in the woods of Rajmachi.

🧚 The wonderful creatures dissipate light to attract the opposite s*x. Male fireflies send signals in the form of distinct patterns of flashing light and females respond to them in their own way of signaling. The exchange of light creates a spellbinding phenomenon for the onlookers. The flies live long enough to mate and lay eggs and eventually they die.

Also known as the Valley of Flowers, the Dzukou Valley is one of the most visited tourist attractions in the North East. Located at an altitude of 2450 meters, it is considered to be one of the most famous adventure spots in Kohima, Nagaland. It is located behind the Japfu range, another important travel destination for tourists in the state.

The temple built in the 12th Century AD has been the epicenter of Jagannath cult and sees pilgrims flocking the temple town of Puri from all corners of the world throughout the year.

The mysticism associated with the cult of Lord Jagannath overshadows the architectural brilliance of this magnificent temple.  Built on a raised platform, the gigantic temple is an architectural marvel in its own right.

The temple saw new additions to its structure till about the 16th Century AD. Unlike other temples of the region, the carvings on the temples are predominantly of gods and goddesses. The entire temple complex is enclosed within two concentric walls, the Kuruma Bheda (Inner wall) and the Meghnad Pachira (Wall). The main entrance to the temple is through Singhadwara located on the Eastern front of the temple with three other entrances along the four cardinal directions. However these are not architecturally aligned indicating that the other entrances might have been created for security purposes since the temple was at the eye of the storm during the tumultuous period between 16th and 18th century.
