UAE: New 5-Year Multiple-Entry Tourist Visa Application Procedure

Families with children under 18 are eligible to apply for the five-year visa, which allows holders to stay in the UAE for up to 90 days at a time.

A new procedure for issuing tourist visas to family groups travelling to the United Arab Emirates has just been established by the Federal Authority for Identification, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP) (UAE).

In accordance with the new visa procedure, families can now apply collectively for a multiple-entry tourist visa rather than submitting individual applications for each member. The new method has been well-received by families, as it simplifies the application procedure and saves time and effort.

The Previous Visa Process
Formerly, if a family member wanted to travel to the UAE on a tourist visa, they each had to submit a separate application and the same set of supporting documentation.

This implied that applications and accompanying documentation had to be sent separately even if a family was travelling together. That took a long time and was inconvenient, especially for families with young children.

New Family Visa Application Procedure
Families can now use the ICP website to apply together for a multiple-entry tourist visa under the revised visa procedure. This approach is substantially more effective because it streamlines the application procedure and does away with the requirement that each family member submit a separate application and supporting documentation.
