About Kohoj:

Kohoj Fort Trek can be reached from the Vaghote village on Palghar - Wada road. At the base of the fort is a lake that gives the beautiful reflection of the fort. It takes 2 hours approx from the village to reach the plateau. On the plateau of the fort, a temple of Lord Shankar and 3 groups of water cisterns can be seen. Fortification and remains of settlements also can be seen in some of the places. On the way that stretches from the right side of the temple up the hill, there are three large water cisterns; two of which contain potable water. On the top of this hill, we come across a bastion and a temple of Lord Hanuman. Their many natural pinnacles formed due to wind-erosion, two of them are man-shaped pinnacles which is one of the greatest wonders of nature’s creation.

His exceptional determination on the challenging summit of Kala Patthar, motivated & inspired others in the group to follow suit. His presence during the trek was a constant source of positivity and fun. His witty one-liners and humorous anecdotes kept the group's morale high, even during the most strenuous moments of the trek.

One of the most memorable highlights of the trek was Mr. MAC's impromptu song that he recommended😜, adding a touch of joy and camaraderie to the journey. His ability to create a sense of community and camaraderie among fellow trekkers was truly commendable.

He walked through the challenges of the trek with grace, never losing his cool even in difficult situations, also a veteran who had done this trek around 25 years back. His down-to-earth nature were truly inspiring & connected with group boosting a sense of companionship and camaraderie within the group.

Our esteemed chess coach Mr. Shyam Warrier, embarked on a majestic journey to the Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar as a wild card entry, showcasing his determination and resilience. Despite joining the trek just four days before, his strategic thinking and meticulous planning were evident as he tackled the demanding terrain of the Kumbhu region. He remained focused on his goal, steadily progressing with a mindset of determination.

Throughout the journey, he pushed his limits, overcame challenges, and embraced the unknown, showcasing remarkable patience and perseverance. Navigating rugged terrain, acclimatizing to high altitude, and facing unpredictable weather, he never lost sight of his fellow trekkers.

His journey to the Sagarmatha region was a remarkable feat of unyielding spirit and determination. His slow but steady approach, combined with his strong mindset, patience & perseverance, allowed him to achieve this incredible feat. Jha Sir, as we fondly call him, is a remarkable embodiment of energy & enthusiasm. During the trek, he demonstrated his physical endurance & also his mental preparedness for the arduous journey. Driven by sense of adventure, he approached the trek with positivity and optimism. Despite having no prior experience in high-altitude hiking, his desire to push his limits and explore new horizons made him appear as a seasoned Himalayan trekker, constantly on the move and eagerly taking on each new challenge along the way.
