As soon as the first snow falls, 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗯𝗶𝗲𝗿 becomes a Mecca for winter sports enthusiasts. It is the gateway to the 4 Vallées ski area.

🚡 A cable car takes skiers to the summit of Mont-Fort (altitude: 3330 m), from where the descent is one of the most superb "black runs" in the Alps.

🗻 Non-skiers can also enjoy the winter countryside on a snowshoe walk, by taking the hiking trails or launching out on the longest toboggan run in the French-speaking region of Switzerland (length: 10 km).

🎿 The resort of Verbier is known to ski tourers as a staging-post on the "Haute Route" from Chamonix to Zermatt.

It is one of the best-connected resorts in the Alps by train, with direct rail journeys possible from Paris, London, Brussels and Amsterdam — as well as other cities such as Grenoble and Lyon.

The resort has terrain that is suitable for beginner and intermediate levels, but one can also practice other sports, try the 6 slalom tracks or to attend the numerous sports competitions that are organized there.
