Hope you enjoyed your wildlife excursion with Jungle Routes.
It was a pleasure hosting all of you on our wildlife tours and we are really thankful for your appreciation and wonderful reviews.

The core zones of all national parks will remain closed during July 1, 2023 to September 2023 and no tourism will be allowed. However, the buffer zone safaris will remain open during this period.

We will shortly notify you about our revised tours schedule for the monsoon season, along with the schedule for regular core safaris starting from October 1, 2023. Please stay tuned for our updates coming from time to time.

Cheetahs reintroduced today in their new home in Kuno Wildlife sanctuary (MP) by honourable PM Modi ji.

Today, on 17 September 2022, five female and three male cheetahs aged 4 to 6 years arrived in Kuno National Park from Namibia.

Kuno National Park is a national park in Madhya Pradesh, India, established in 1981 as a wildlife sanctuary.
In 2018, it was given the status of a national park. It is part of the Khathiar-Gir dry deciduous forests ecoregion.

Small things that matter...

Elephant dung is an important – and abundant – source of food for a host of different types of dung beetles. After animals drop off a dung pat, dung beetles can be seen streaming towards it, hoping to grab their share of the nutritious solids and fluids it contains.

And elephant dung can serve up many more portions for dung beetles to dine on. Besides feeding on dung, dung beetles also bury the dung below the ground where their larvae can feed and grow. By doing this, dung beetles loosen tightly-packed soil and get the nutritious elephant fertiliser to where it’s needed most – the layers of the soil where plants begin to grow.

So, elephants are an important part of keeping ecosystems fertile and maintaining plant populations.But there’s more. The submerged beetle larvae that feed off of the dung are a source of food for a number of different animals – like field mice and honey badgers.

This means that by supporting the survival of beetle populations, elephant dung also supports the survival of a wide variety of life on land.
