*Jannat al-Baqi*
There is a cemetery in Medina. The Companions of the Prophet, the Ahlul Bayt of the Prophet and many distinguished personalities are buried here. Baqi refers to the place where wild plants are found in abundance and because in the place of Baqi cemetery there were a lot of juniper trees and thorn ausaj i.e. Dharqad trees, so this cemetery also got the name Baqi Dharqad.
Its location is that this cemetery is located outside the population of Madinah to the east of Masjid Nabawi Sharif, it was surrounded by houses and gardens, and it is mixed with the wall of Madinah that was built in the third century. This wall has been renovated several times, the last renewal was during the Ottoman Turkish era during the reign of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent, then after peace was established in this country, this wall was demolished, then the final renovation of the Nabvi Sharif Mosque. In the expansion, all the houses that were between this cemetery and Masjid Nabawi Sharif were demolished. The neighborhood that was inhabited during those days was known as Agwat, in the eastern direction of Masjid Nabawi Sharif. It has been found in the outer courtyard of Nabvi Sharif. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and the emigrants, Radwanullah Ajmeen, migrated to Madinah and made it their abode and homeland, more constructive and cultural development began in this blessed city. He intended that a suitable place should be designated for the burial of the dead of Muslims. In view of this purpose, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to this place (Baqi's), so he said;

* I have been given the order (for the cemetery) of this place (i.e. Baqi).*

From this tradition, it is known that Allah Ta'ala ordered His Messenger Sayyiduna Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (peace be upon him) to build a cemetery for Muslims in this place (Baqi) and this is where the excellence of this place, the Baqi cemetery, originates.
