The regular meeting of Chhattisgarh Travel Trade Association was held on 7th Sep 2021 at Hotel Babylon Capital.

The meeting was attended by over 16 travel agents from different parts of the State. All the members discussed the various issues concerning the travel trade especially the challenges being faced due to the COVID pandemic. Various taxation issues like the impact of TCS, RTO Taxation , car rental rates of State Protocol Department etc were also prominently discussed.

The members were also presented with their membership certificates. The meeting was hosted by Hotel Babylon Capital and the General Manager of the hotel was also felicitated by the association. A show around of the property was also organised and the members were appraised about the various facilities offered by Hotel Babylon Capital.

The members of Chhattisgarh Travel Trade Organisation - CGTTA today welcomed and honoured Mr Pawan Dubey and his team on their arrival at Raipur today evening . This vocal for local expedition has so far completed 13000 kms of road travel covering 23 states and 3 corners of India so far. Their objective is to promote domestic tourism and to encourage people to travel.
“Travel with precaution and not with fear”
This expedition reaches raipur from Bhubaneshwar and will depart for Hyderabad the next day. The members of the expediton were welcomed at Telibandha Waterfront and later a dinner was organised at Mayfair Lake Resort Raipur in association with the Mayfair group. The visiting expedition members were also presented with souvenirs.

A one of its kind campaign presently ongoing “ONE ROAD EXPEDITION”, an initiative to revive Tourism back to normal. And to promote Domestic Tourism, 6 travel agents have teamed up for a 36 days expedition throughout India.
The participants initiated this campaign with the message - “VOCAL FOR LOCAL” and have begun a road trip on 18th September from Surat. The 36 days trip stretched to 18000 kms covering 34 Indian State and Union Territory by road touching all the 4 corners of India (Koteshwar in west, Leh in north, Tezu in East and Kanyakumari in South).
Mr Rajiv Shah from Surat said, “No sector has been spared from the economic downfall brought up by this pandemic & the travel industry has also been badly hit. Now as we begin to Unlock in phases and everything is falling back to place, travel industry also deserves the speed to boost back. Currently international travel is not possible and with an endeavour to support the message VOCAL FOR LOCAL & persuade Indians to travel domestically , we have commenced this Road trip of 18000 kms within 36 days.”
Other participants along with Mr Shah are Mr Ritesh Parekh, Mr Sanjay Patel, Mr Nitin Gupta from Surat, Mr Thomas Koshy from Ahmedabad & Mr Pawan Dubey from Mumbai.
Mr. Pawan Dubey said, “This is our attempt to influence people and motivate them to travel and it is safe to travel with responsibly taking all the safety measures against corona virus. We should take this as an opportunity to promote Domestic Tourism. We should also be revealing how all hotels & destinations are covid ready & looking forward to welcome tourists with utmost health & safety measures.”

HONORING THE HEROES OF HUMANITY

The members of Chhattisgarh Travel Trade Association celebrated “Doctors Day” in a unique way by honoring 11 doctors from different parts of Raipur city. The members of CGTTA visited the doctors in their clinics / hospitals and thanked them for their service to society. These doctors were also presented with a protective face shield to keep them safe while rendering their services. Along with it, a few bottles of hand sanitizers, face masks and some posters about COVID 19 awareness were also provided which in turn could be distributed amongst the underprivileged people who visit these clinics. This step of CGTTA was very much appreciated by all the doctors.
