But what was known to a handful of researchers and nature lovers for decades turned into a popular attraction since 2012, when the Western Ghat hills were included in the UNESCO World Heritage List as a biodiversity hot spot.

The laid-backness of Goa attracts as many international tourists as it does Indians, or even more so.
The Goans are quite friendly towards tourists and celebrate many festivals throughout the year, the most famous being the New Year and Goa Carnival. While the seafood is excellent, Goa has one of the best nightlife in India with trendy bars, beach shacks, elegant cafes and many clubs and discotheques. Thanks to lower alcohol prices in the state, Goa is also great for younger tourists with relatively tighter pockets.

For those of us perpetually confused between North Goa and South Goa, this might help - the state of Goa is divided into North Goa and South Goa. While North Goa is the nightlife hub where all the touristy beaches, flea markets, and beach shacks are located, South Goa is the land of luxurious resorts and laid-back beach vibes.

It is a small artificially water fed oval-shaped, shallow mass of water that is more of a pond than a lake. It is encircled by a paved pathway, beyond which are gentle slopes covered with Blue Pine and Spruce trees. It is located in a fascinating place where one can spend some picnic time. The entire area around the lake is enclosed by a thick forest of cedar trees. During a clear sky one can see the snow covered peaks in the far distance which is enchanting. There are open spaces near the lake where adventure travelers can pitch their tent and spend the night under the stars. There is a small village near Tani Jubar and a school with a big open ground.

A snack and chai with a side of conversation is an age-old concept in Delhi, with locals converging at every corner to enjoy a quick bite or beverage before going their way to battle the city’s sprawling landscapes, museums, parks and a myriad of other things to do. Today, the best cafés in Delhi include a wide set of options—from slick, modern coffee shops to old establishments reminiscent of the capital’s British regime.

In each part of the city, food is attuned to distinct histories and demographics and, while coffee is new to Delhi’s predominantly chai-drinking populace, the growing movement led by young, independent professionals has set the premise for a flourishing culture of caffeine.
