DEV DEEPAWALI is celebrated on the occasion of Kartik Poornima when the Ghats of Varanasi come alive with thousands of Diyas (earthen lamps). Dev Deepavali, celebrated on the fifteenth day of Diwali, is a tribute to river Ganga by the people of Varanasi. Dev Deepavali is held on the full moon day in the month of Kartik (also known as Kartik Purnima) and is observed with great fanfare and feasts. It is believed that on the day of Dev Deepavali, the Gods descend on Earth. It is interesting to note that the Kartik Purnima festival also coincides with the Jain light festival and Guru Nanak Jayanti.

HEMKUND Sahib, also known as Gurudwara Sri Hemkund Sahib Ji is a sikh pilgrimage located in the Chamoli district of . The place adorned by a glacial lake, is surrounded by seven snow clad 🏂🌎🏔️ peaks, each bearing a Nishan Sahib. At an astounding altitude of 4,362 m, Hemkund Sahib attracts a great number of tourists every trekking season. It is only accessible during summer as it is totally snow bound during the winter season.

One can make it to the Gurudwara by either scaling a 13 kms long path by foot or by taking a pony ride. Close to the place is the Valley of Flowers National Park which offers a magnificent view of complementing colours orchestrated by the cool setting, making the whole area one of the best places to visit in summer in India.

The Puri temple has several amazing qualities that make it an interesting place to visit apart from the religious affection that people have about the temple itself. Also, the state of Odisha is one of those states that attract millions of visitors every year for its religious affiliation with several beliefs and also a great place for food lovers.
The historic temple of Jagannath Puri was constructed almost an entire millennia ago back in the year 1078. This makes the architectural feat achieved by the people in the past something of a legend around the world. *The flag on the top of temple blows in the direction opposite to the flow of wind : This is a scientific mystery that cannot be explained using basic science and hence makes people often wonder about the possibility of a mystical force. *The mysterious Simhadwaram : It is a saying and is often observed by the people that while going in the temple you can hear the sound of the waves crashing on the beach near the temple. However, past a certain point, you cannot hear this same sound while returning back to the very point that you exit the temple.
