There is no restriction in number of vehicles entering into Nilgiris! EPass is an auto approval process as of now and you can't get rejected while applying!

Just need to register yourself online and get an EPass. Just 5mins of online work can be done via mobile also!

Additional Info:
Those who enter Nilgiris via Government buses or toy train need not to have epass!

You need an affordable ride to cover the sightseeing places in Ooty?

Just take a circuit bus (shuttle service) operated by the Tamilnadu Government.

Full Day Ticket Price:
Adults - ₹100/-
Child - ₹50/-

There will be continuous circuit buses running across sightseeing places in Ooty and you can board any bus and spend time in places as you wish!

Yeaah!!

Ooty got rains yesterday! This was the much needed rain received after January. Ooty was never in this situation in the history with high temperature and low water availability in the lakes for this long period.

Important Update:

E-Pass for Tourists

*Collector of Nilgiris issued guidelines for E-Pass

-📍. E-pass will be issued to all those applying online.

-📍. Only one e-pass per vehicle is sufficient.*

-📍. This procedure is being implemented on a trial basis from May 7 to May 30.

-📍. E-Pass is not required for Nilgiris by Govt Bus.

-📍. People coming from foreign countries can get e-pass by registering their email address and domestic people by registering their phone number.

E-PASS MANDATORY FROM 7th May 2024!

Attention Tourists!

You need to get epass to enter Nilgiri district from 7th May 2024 as per HC order. Only limited vehicles will be allowed per day as per the epass supplied. This will be applicable only for outsiders and Not for locals. This is applicable to Kodaikanal also.

We request you to plan your trip accordingly. Book your rooms and cabs only after getting epass in these dates.

Those who have booked flights already, prioritise getting epasses!

Ooty Not Cool and at its peak temperature in the history!

Yes! Ooty is just behind your place temperature and not cool now as you imagine!
The NIL rain since January made Ooty more dry and impacted the water resources to the max.
And Traffic is heavy and too regulated to make the parking more difficult!

So with heavy heart want to say that you to think twice before coming!

We will be more happy to welcome you just after the peak season!
