Located in Pithoragarh at an altitude of 3,470 m (approximately), the Darma Valley is the ideal getaway destination for nature lovers and those looking to escape the cacophony of everyday life. The valley, shaped by the Darma river, boasts 12 tribal villages where are tourists are welcome with open arms to experience a slice of local life in quaint homestays. However, what this valley is most popular for is mesmerising eponymous trek. The difficulty level of the Darma Valley trek is difficult to moderate but is equally rewarding. Pretty waterfalls, picturesque sites and the calm of the mountains are enchanting. You begin the trek from Sobla and make your way through the Dar village and make your way to the villages named Duktu and Dantu. A part of the trek where you have to cross towering glaciers will be challenging but the spectacular views would make the journey that much more rewarding.

Dharchula- Culturally-rich Dharchula is a picturesque hill town located in the Pithoragarh district on the ancient trading route linking the Kumaon region to Nepal. Encircled by towering mountains, the town is nestled in a verdant valley on the banks of the gushing Kali river. Standing on the Kailash Mansarovar and Chota Kailash yatra routes, it attracts tourists and devotees in large numbers. Dharchula offers panoramic view of the mighty Panchachuli peak to its west and falls on several trekking routes. The unique Kangdali festival is held here once in 12 years. Interestingly, Dharchula is connected to Nepal by a bridge across the Kali river.

उत्तराखंड अपनी खूबसूरती के लिए काफी मशहूर है। पहाड़ी इलाकों में कई तरह के फल-फूल पाए जाते हैं, जिनकी अपनी अलग विशिष्टता होती है। काफल कहा जाता है कि एक बार एक बूढ़ी औरत दिनभर पहाड़ों में घूमकर काफल इकट्ठा कर घर लाती है और फल के उस टोकरी को अपने बेटी के जिम्मे में छोड़कर किसी दूसरे काम में निकल जाती है।
देर दोपहर में वापस आकर वो देखती है कि टोकरी में काफल काफी कम हो गया है और वो ये सोचती है कि उसकी बेटी ने ही काफल खा लिया है। गुस्से में तिलमिलाई महिला ने सोती हुई बेटी पर जोर प्रहार किया जिससे उसकी मौत हो गई। शाम को वो औरत देखती है कि काफल की टोकरी में फिर से काफल भर गए हैं।

The ashram was established by Narayan Swami in 1936, about 136 kms north of Pithoragarh and 14 kms from Tawaghat. This spiritual cm socio educational centre is set at an altitude of 2734 metres amidst scenic surroundings. It has a school for local children and imparts training to local youth. There is also a library, meditation room and samadhi sthal.

The Panchachuli (पंचाचुली) peaks are a group of five snow-capped Himalayan peaks lying at the end of the eastern Kumaon region, near Dugtu Village Darma valley. The peaks have altitudes ranging from 6,334 metres (20,781 ft) to 6,904 metres (22,651 ft). They form the watershed between the Gori and the Darmaganga valleys. Panchchuli is also located on the Gori Ganga-Lassar Yankti divide. The group lies 138 km (86 mi) from Pithoragarh.
