In search of a waterfall we hiked up a pretty high mountain, following white arrows marked on small and big rocks...reached the top to find locals who didn't understand the only languages we knew (Hindi, Marathi, English and Gujarati) 🙆🏻♂️
Showed them pics of waterfalls and this started our further confusion with pictionary!

The decision to retreat was wise as dark clouds had started covering the afternoon sun. As we reached the foothills we saw some stairs leading to some other place. The local vegetation, houses and people whom we could communicate with felt slightly more comfortable. A 10min hike and we could hear the sound...the sound we were so eager to see, play with and soak in! It was the 'Small Waterfall, Vashisht'!

Driving off to Goa in a car or taking the overnight bus from Pune to Goa or even a flight is fun but cliché.

So Kite Tours decided to take the route less taken. A small entry in the bucket list to travel and experience the 'VISTADOME' coach of the Tejas Express from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (Mumbai) to Madgaon (Goa).

The coach is super spacious and absolutely clean. The seats are like a sofa and are very comfortable. If traveling in a group the seats can be swirled to face each other or even parallel to the wide windows.

The AC felt strong in the beginning, but made sense when the sun was up and warming the coach through the dome glasses.

The catering staff is very courteous and polite. Serving tea/coffee, breakfast and lunch at the right time and the janitors are always on their toes keeping the coach clean.

The wide windows and the big glass at the back of the coach gives a superb view of the serenity of Konkan and breathtaking view of the engineering marvel achieved by Konkan Railways.

There are several VISTADOME coaches in all parts of India and this one is definitely a 'must do'.
